ZB T36 001-86Technical Conditions of Vehicle Cigarette Lighters1 ScopeThis standard applies to vehicle cigarette lighters (abbreviated as Product in the following). The product applies to the vehicles with standard voltage of 12V or 24V, and its function is to light a cigarette.2 Category and Specification of the Product2.1 Model and Classification2.1.1 Ready made protective2.1.2 Plug connection type2.1.3 Ready made single line (shell earthed) or dual line system.2.2 Basic ParametersThe consumption power of the product is no more than 120W.3 Technical Requirements3.1 The product should meet with the requirement of the standard, and should be manufactured in according to the stipulated procedures and approved drawings and documentations.3.2 The environmental medium temperature is as Table 1Table1 Low Temperature(no lower than)High Temperature(no higher than)-40-553.3 The relatively max. humidity averagely in the most humid months should be 90%, and the lowest temperature for the month should be 253.4 The Vibration-resistive and Shock-resistive capability should meet with whats specified in Table 2.Table 2ItemVibration FrequencyMax. When the plug of the cigarette lighter pushed from the normal position into the socket of the hot dual metal plates, the plug should cut off the power automatically in 18s, and reset to its normal position.Mechanical Industry Department 1986-11-06 Approved Implemented July, 1st, 1987ZB T36 001-86b. Heat Preservation Features: after the lighter plug cuts off the power automatically, pull off the plug in 10s and the cigarette should be lighted.3.6 Under power cut off, the insulation dielectric intensity between the connection pole and the shell could bear sine wave 550V under the work frequency of 50Hz for 1min and no puncture damage should occur. When leaving factory, voltage 660V for 1s test should be used as a substitute.3.7 Ferrous metal components should have fair corrosion resistive layers3.8 The plastic components should not have cracks and deformation that will impact the usage and appearance.3.9 Loose or automatic release should not occur on the rivet and screw connection.3.10 The force by the cigarette lighter plug into the hot dual metal sheets should be between 9.829.4N (13kgf).3.11 The pulling force after the automatic disconnection of the lighter plug should be between 4.9-29.4N (0.53kgf).3.12 The removable parts of the same model products should be interchangeable.3.13 The connection pole of the power should bear static load of 98N (10kgf) for 1min.3.14 The storage period of the product is 1 year (since the date of leave factory). The product still should meet with what are specified in the standard 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 and 3.9 during the period.3.15 The durability of the product should be no less than 50000 times.4 Test Methods4.1 The environment temperature is 205.4.2 The accuracy of the voltage meter and current meter should be no less than Scale 1, and the volume of the transformer for insulation dielectric should be no less than 0.5kVA.4.3 Low temperature test, place the product in a low temperature container with the temperature of -402,remain 3h under the free condition. After being taken out from the container, the check should be done in 5min in according to 3.8 of this standard. Reset time should be inspected according to 3.5a of this standard in 30min.4.4 High temperature test, place the product in a high temperature container with the temperature of 552, remain 3h under the free condition. After being taken out from the container, and cooling to the room temperature, the product could meet with the 3.5a, 3.8 of this standard.4.5 Humidity resistive test, place the product in the constant temperature and constant humidity box with the temperature of 402, and relative humidity of 90%95% for 48h. After being taken out for 15min, the product should be tested to meet with 3.5a, 3.7 and 3.8 of this standard.4.6 Vibration resistivity and shock resistivity test should be done in according to Provision 31 of the JB2261-77“The Basic Technical Conditions for Auto, Tractor Electrical Equipment”. The product should be assembled on the normal work position. The product should be tested to meet with 3.5a, 3.6, and 3.9 of this standard.4.7 The test on consumption power of the product (2.2 of this standard) and product performance test (3.5a, 3.5b of this standard), should be done a specific test stand. The work voltage during test: if the standard voltage is 12V, the test voltage should be 120.2V; if the standard voltage is 24V, the test voltage should be 240.2V.4.8 Test on insulation dielectric intensity (3.6 of this standard), the test voltage should be increased evenly to the test value (During the test of leaving factory, a voltage of 660V for 1s is allowed on the product).ZB T36 001-864.9 Appearance of the product (3.7, 3.8 of this standard), visual inspection4.10 Insertion force of the cigarette lighter plug (3.10 of this standard), the force should be on the top of the lighter pulling knob, and dynamometer should be used for test.411 Pulling force of the cigarette lighter plug (3.11 of this standard), the force should be on the neck of the pulling knob, and dynamometer should be used for test.4.12 Interchangeability (3.12 of this standard), after dismantling 3 products of the same kind, mix all the components and assembling, after which the products could still meet with 3.5a of this standard (looseness or tightness of the dual metal sheets are allowed to be adjusted).4.13 Intensity of the connection pole (3.13 of this standard), and the force should be applied along the axis of the pole.4.14 Durability Test (3.15 of this standard), the test stand should be used to keep the product in the normal work position. Work voltage during the test: if the standard voltage is 12V, the test voltage should be 120.2V; if the standard voltage is 24V, the test voltage should be 240.2V. For each close of the circuit, the cigarette lighter should be cooled before the second cycle test of the circuit close. Breakage during the test is allowed, but not less than 4h continuous period should be ensured for each test. 5 Inspection Rules5.1 Each product could leave factory only after being tested to be conforming, and conforming certification documents or marks attached with it.5.2 Each product should be tested as follows before leaving factory:a. Appearance (3.7, 3.8, 3.9 of this standard);b. Performance Test 2.2, 3.5a of this standard;c. Insulation dielectric intensity test (3.6 of this standard), 0.1% sampling (not less than 10 products) should be done.5.3 Model Test should be done under the following four conditions:a. New products;b. Big change in the design, engineering or material;c. The products not usually produced, reproduced with an interval of over 1 year;d. Batch production, not less than 1 time every 2 years.5.4 The products for model test should be sampled within the same batch of products being inspected to be conforming, and the quantity should be no less than 6. First the products should be checked by leaving factory inspection items, then they should be classified into two groups:a. One group should be tested by the following order: vibration resistivity, shock resistivity, low temperature, high temperature, humidity, durability;b. Another group should be tested with the following order: 3.5b, 3.6, 3.10, 3.11, and 3.12 of this standard.5.5 All products for the model test should be proved to be conforming. If specific items not conforming, duplicate sampling should be made, and recheck the nonconforming products. If after rechecked OK, the batch are considered conforming, but if still not OK, the batch are considered nonconforming.5.6 The customer has the right to check the conformation of the product quality and targets with this standard.ZB T36 001-866 Product ID, Package, Transportation and Storage6.1 For each product, the following should be marked:a. Name of trademark and trademark logo;b. Model of the product;c. Ex-factory date or numberd. Standard voltage should be marked on the plug of the cigarette lighter;e. Diagrams should be marked on the plug pulling knob of the lighter, and they should meet with GB 4094-83 Diagram Marks of the Road Vehicles-Operative Components, Indicators, and Signal Devices.6.2 Package boxes should be stable, and the products should not be movable within them to avoid damage during the transportation.
