Explanation on Standard TransferringAccording to the requirements of Zhijijianju No.216 1998 Bidding Letter by National Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision and Guojiguan No.126 1999 Administrative Reply by State Administration of Machinery Industry, we now transfer the original standard code JB 3918-85 to the present industrial standard code QC/T 548-1999 without changing the contents. Please use the new standard code when quoting it.China Ministry of Machine Building Industry StandardTechnical Conditions for Automobile Washer MotorJB 3918-85This standard is applicable to automobile windscreen washer motor (hereafter referred to motor).The motor is made up of a short-time duty DC motor and a washer pump. The motor has two types of structures: A type (the motor is installed on the liquid reserve tank), B type (the motor is separated from the liquid reserve tank).This standard is also applicable to the motors used in damp and hot regions.1. Technical Requirements1.1 The motor shall meet the requirements of this standard and those of JB 2261-77 (Basic Technical Conditions of Automotive and Tractor Electrical Equipment), JB 3921.1-85 (Technical Conditions for Automobile Windscreen Electric Washer) and JB 3921.2-85 (Testing Methods for Automobile Windscreen Electric Washer), and the motor shall be manufactured according to the drawing and documents authorized by specified procedure. The motors to be used in hot and damp regions shall comply with the specifications of JB 517-77 (Technical Conditions for Damp-hot Type Automobile and Tractor Electrical Equipment).1.2 When the medium temperature around the motor is -2580, its performance shall comply with the specifications of 1.4.1.3 The motor insulation resistance shall be no less than 1M.1.4 When the pressure of water discharged by the motor washer pump is 88kPa (0.9kgf/cm2), the discharge volume within 10 seconds shall be no less the l00mL.With the valve closed (See Figure 1 and Figure 2), the pressure shall be no less than 137 kPb (1.4 kgf/cm2).The B type motor shall be self priming and put out water within 10 seconds after it is switched on.1.5 The load currents of the motor at 2510 are as follows:3A for the motor providing 12V of nominal voltage;1.5A for the motor providing 24V of nominal voltage.1.6 When the temperature is low and the water in the liquid reserve tank is frozen and locked, the motor can stand 6 cycles of energizing/de-energizing tests. When the ice melts and the water restores the normal temperature, the motor performance shall comply with the specifications of 1.4 and 1.5.1.7 The durability of the motor at normal temperature shall be 25,000 cycles, and after the test, a 20 deviation from the specifications of 1.4 and 1.5 is allowable for the motor performance.2 Testing Method and Acceptance Rules2.1 The exfactory inspection for 100 of the motors shall be performed according 1.4 and 1.5 of this technical condition and the appearance. And 100 of the installation dimensions shall be inspected according to the outline drawing.2.2 With the motor inspection, the terminal voltage shall be 13.50.3V (the nominal voltage being 12V) or 270.6V (the nominal voltage being 24V).Stabilized power supply shall be employed, and the output ripple voltage shall be 100 mV (peak-peak value) and the degree of stability1.2.3 The accuracy of instrument used for the test shall be 1 degree.2.4 Electric circuit and pipe connectionSee Figure 1 for A type motor and Figure 2 for B type motor.Issued by Ministry of Machine Building Industry on February 8, 1985. Effective date: August 1, 1985JB 3918-85Figure 11 Outlet hose(Inlet barrel, inside diameter4 mm)2 Flowmeter3 Valve4 Pressure gauge5 Tested motor6 Liquid reserve tank (L refers to the depth of the washing fluid, which is no larger than that of the washing fluid in the liquid reserve tank.)7 Filter Figure 2 (the indications are the same as those of Figure 1)2.5 Insulation resistance test: the motor insulation resistance measured with 500V megohmmeter at 2510 with the relative humidity90% shall comply with the specifications of 1.3.2.6 Load testIn the motor load test, adjust the pipe valve to make sure the pressure and flow comply with the specifications of 1.4 and the current satisfies those of 1.5.2.7 High temperature testPut the motor and washing fluid into the thermostat to make their temperature rise along with the thermostat, keep them in the non-operation state for 3 hours at 803, and the product performance shall comply with the specifications of 1.4.2.8 Low temperature testPut the motor and washing fluid into the low temperature box to make their temperature drop along with it, keep them in the non-operation state for 3 hours at -253(The washing fluid shall not get sticky or frozen during this period), and the product performance shall comply with the specifications of 1.4.2.9 Locked-rotor testPut the motor and washing fluid (water of hardness2059/1000 kg) into the low temperature box, and keep them at -253 till the water gets completely frozen before testing with the specifications of 1.6.Energize it for 3 seconds and then de-energize it for 7 seconds, thus completing a cycle. After 6 cycles, wait till the frozen washing fluid melts and restores the normal temperature before testing the motor performance to make sure it complies with the specifications of 1.4 and 1.5.2.10 Durability testThe motor durability test shall be performed on the special testing table, and a cycle is made up of 5 seconds of operation and 25 seconds of rest of the motor. During the test, the indicated pressure by the pressure gauge shall be 88 kPa (0.9 kgf/cm2).During the test, the period of no load operation without washing fluid shall be 20 seconds each time (the same goes for other tests). No motor parts shall be replaced during the test. The test period is over, the motor performance shall comply with the requirements of 1.7.3Marking, packaging, storing and caretakingThe motors marking, packaging, storing and caretaking shall comply with releva
