Greetings T: Good morning, everyone. My name is Peter. My telephone number is Whats your name, please? And whats your telephone number? S1: My name is Lily. My telephone is 687-1354. T: Hello, Lily. Nice to meet you! S1: Nice to meet you, too. T: And whats your name? Whats your telephone number? S2: My name is My telephone number is 2. Revision Review the numbers zero nine. Ask some students say the numbers quickly. Step 2: Lead-in (1) Show your ID card to the students. This is my ID card. Read the ID card. You can know my first, my last name and my telephone number. (2) Show a students ID card to the students. Then ask the following questions. Let the students answer your questions: T: Whats his first name? Ss: His first name is T: Whats his last name? Ss: His last name is T: Whats his telephone number? Ss: Its Step 3: Presentation 1. Teach activity 2a T: Weve just learnt the first name and the last name. Now lets read through the instruction of 2a so that you can know how to do this activity. (1) Ask a student to read the names, and correct pronunciation mistakes if any. Teach activity 2b (1) T: Now. Read through the instruction so that you can know how to do this activity. (2) Students look at the pictures and read the messages silently. Match the messages with the pictures, circle the first names and underline the last names. (3) Check the answers. Focus on the pronunciation. 3. Teach activity 2c (1) Ask students to read through the instruction of this activity so that they can know how to do it. (2) Leave students two minutes to do this task individually. Move around the classroom to check the progress and give some help if necessary. (3) Invite some pairs to check their answers. (2) Give an example to the students. T: My first name is Mary. My last name is Miller. My telephone number is 487-2571. (My QQ number is 34798320. Linda is my friend.) (3) Ask students to fill in their own ID card and write about themselves (4) Check their writings in their groups. Step 5: Consolidation Teach Self Check 1. Self Check 1 (1)T: Discuss the phone numbers. In what situation will we use the telephone number? (2) Let some students talk about the telephone numbers. (3) Write the numbers in English.
