阅读七选五提升练(三)A(20176月浙江) How to do man-on-the-street interviewsThe man-on-the-street interview is an interview in which a reporter hits the streets with a cameraman to interview people on the spot.1 But with these tips, your first man-on-the-street interview experience can be easy. When your boss or professor sends you out to do man-on-the-street interviews for a story, think about the topic and develop a list of about ten general questions relating to it.For example,if your topic is about environmental problems in America, you might ask,“Why do you think environmental protection is important in America?”2Hit the streets with confidence.3 Say,“Excuse me,I work for XYZ News, and I was wondering if you could share your opinion about this topic.” This is a quick way to get people to warm up.Move on to the next person if someone tells you she is not interested in talking on camera.Dont get discouraged. 4 Each interview that you get on the street shouldnt be longer than ten minutes. As soon as you get the answer you need, move on to the next person.Make sure that as you go from interview to interview, you are getting a variety of answers. If everyone is giving you the same answer, you wont be able to use it.A safe number of interviews to conduct is about six to ten.5 If your news station or school requires interviewees to sign release forms to appear on the air, dont leave work without them.A.Limit your time.B.As you approach people,be polite.C.If you dont own a camera, you can buy one.D.For new reporters, this can seem like a challenging task.E.To get good and useful results, ask them the same question.F.That number of interviews should give you all the answers you need.G.With a question like this, you will get more than a “Yes” or “No” reply.导学号44994043B(2017浙江温州九校高三期末)Long bus rides are like television shows. They have a beginning,a middle, and an end with commercials thrown in every three or four minutes.1They happen whether you want them or not.Every couple of minutes a billboard passes by outside the bus window.“Buy Super Clean Toothpaste.”“Drink Good Wet Root Beer.” “Fill up with Pacific Gas.” Only if you sleep, which is equal to turning the television off,are you spared the unending cry of “You Need It!Buy It Now!”The beginning of the ride is comfortable and somewhat exciting, even if youve traveled that way before.2It is also fun to try to figure out the style of the driver.3Will the driver pass the truck in time? Will the driver move into the right,or the left-hand lane? After a while,of course, the excitement dies down.4And food makes this part of bus rides more interesting. But youve got to be careful of what kind of food you eat.Too much salty food can make you very thirsty between stops. The end of the ride is somewhat like the beginning. You know it will soon be over and theres a kind of expectation and excitement.5 By now youve sat with your legs crossed, with your hands in your lap, with your hands on the armrests, and even with your hands behind your head. The end comes just at no more ways to sit.A.Usually some things have changed:new houses, new buildings, sometimes even a new road.B.Each part has its own characteristic.C.The commercials are unavoidable.D.Sleeping for a while helps pass the middle hours of the ride.E.The seat,of course, has become harder as the hours have passed.F.It is so boring that you need something to refresh you.G.If the driver is particularly adventurous, the ride can be as thrilling as an exciting story.导学号44994044COn Friday, the Ministry of Education, along with eight other central departments, published a document on preventing campus violence. The document stresses that if the perpetrators(作恶者) break the law they should be handed over to the police.1 As early as May,it launched a campaign to deal with the issue.2 Several cases have even aroused nationwide concern. The root problem lies in some schools insisting on punishing the perpetrators with campus rules instead of calling the police, even though some incidents have already broken the law and the perpetrators should face legal punishments.3The schools do not want the perpetrators to go to court because it may harm their reputations so they prefer to “forget the bad things”.4The problem is,the more they try to hide, the bigger their scandal(丑闻)is.5 When the students who treat their schoolmates violently get extremely light punishments because of their young age, they might commit serious crimes in the future.Such cases should arouse our concern. It is time to solve the problem of campus violence with rules of law.A.Yet campus violence is still quite wild.B.The punishments of the schools are,of course, much lighter than legal punishments.C.Schools must be aware of the consequences of bullying and violent incidents in schools.D.This is not the first time that the ministry has introduced measures aimed at stopping campus violence.E.They think that by turning a blind eye to any wrong doing that happens on campus, they can cheat everybody.F.Worse,by trying to hide the scandal instead of solving it,the schools have actually encouraged campus violence.G.Students with severe behavioral problems should be transferred to special schools suitable to their needs or receive criminal punishments. Banks, companies, and government agencies use secret codes in doing business, especially when information is sent by computer.People have used secret codes for thousands of years.1 Code breaking never lags (落后) far behind code making. The science of creating and reading coded messages is called cryptography. There are three main types of cryptography.2 For example, the first letters of “My elephant eats too many eels” spell out the hidden message “Meet me.”3 You might represent each letter with a number,For example,Lets number the letters of the alphabet in order from 1 to 26.If we substitute a number for each letter, the message “Meet me” would read “13 5 5 20 13 5.”A code uses symbols to replace words, phrases,or sentences. To read the message of a real code, you must have a code book.4 For example,“bridge” might stand for “meet” and “out” might stand for “me.” The message “Bridge out” would actually mean “Meet me.” 5 However,it is also hard to keep a code book secret for long.So codes must be changed frequently.A.It is very hard to break a code without the code book.B.In any language, some letters are used more than others.C.Only people who know the key word can read the message.D.As long as there have been codes, people have tried to break them.E.You can hide a message by having the first letters of each word spelt it out.F.With a code book, you might write down words that would stand for other words.G.Another way to hide a message is to use symbols to stand for specific letters of the alphabet. 根据下文“But with these tips.” 由前句“Why do you think.” 由其后的“.shouldnt be longer than ten minutes.move on to the next person.” 根据前一句的“ A safe number of interviews to conduct is about six to ten.” 4.D该空是一个过渡句,承接上段的“After a while,of course, the excitement dies down.” 空后的描述“sat with your legs crossed, with your hands in your lap, with your hands on t
