Master the new words and useful expressions. Words and expressions:birthday, dinner, week, think about, food, sure, how about, burger, right, then, rice, so. 2. Master some useful sentence structures. (1) Johns birthday dinner is next week. (2) Lets talk about the food. (3) How/What about ? (4) Youre right. 3. Consolidate the pronunciation and spelling of key vocabulary. 难点 Understand the main differences between countable nouns and uncountable nouns. 【教学准备】 A tape recorder, a projector and handouts.【教学方法】 任务型教学法、情景交际法、自主学习与合作学习相结合【课时安排】 One period【教学过程】 Step 1: Warm-up 1. Greet students as usual and check the homework. 2. Review the words and phrases we learned in the last period. 3. Explain some new words to students. Step 2: Presentation Grammar Focus 1. Divide the students into two groups. 2. Ask one group of students to read the questions and the other group of students read the answers. 3. Ask students to read the words i the box and tell their differences and usage. 4. Explain some important grammar. Step 3: Practice 1. Teach activity 3a (1) Ask students to read the five sentences first and underline the correct words in the brackets. (2) Invite some students to tell their answers and give their reasons. (3) Check the correct answers with the class. 2. Teach activity 3b (1) Ask students to read the conversation first and try to number the sentences 1-4 to make a conversation. (2) Invite one student to tell hisher answers. (3) Check the correct answers with the class. Answers: 3, 2, 1, 4. Step 4: Consolidation Teach activity 3c 1. Ask students to work with their partners and ask and answer what they like and dont like. 2. Students make their own conversations and fill in the chart. 3.
