摘要 随着现代交际方式的发展，语言或者语言变体之间的接触日趋频繁。自2 0 世纪6 0 一7 0 年代以来，双语或多语社团中常见的语码转换现象越来越引起学术界 的广泛关注，更是语言学界的重要课题。纵观国内外语言学家从不同角度对语 码转换的研究，作者发现国外有以下几个代表性语码转换理论：b i o t a 和 g u m p e r z ( 1 9 7 2 ) 的：情景型语码转换( s i t u a t i o n a lc o d e s w i t c h i n g ) 和隐喻型语码 转换( m e t a p h o r i c a lc o d e s w i t c h i n g ) 、m e r s s c o t t o n 的主体语言构造模式( m a t r i x l a n g u a g ef r a m em o d e l ) 、英国社会心理学家h g i l e s 的言语顺应理论学说 ( a c c o m m o d a t i o nt h e o r y ) 、美国社会语言学家j o s h u af i s h m a n 的语域理论( d o m a i n t h e o r y ) 。 本文指出现阶段国外的语码转换研究重点在于对某个具体言语社团进行实 地调查，获取第一手语料，以寻求理论或实践上的突破。而国内的语码转换研究 至今仍停留在以何自然为代表的理论介绍、理论论证和对少量语料的初步分析 上，很少有人研究汉英语码转换或普通话和方言之间的语码转换，而关于大学 生语码转换的语料获取和分析就更少了。 ； 有鉴于此，作者从所在城市的四所大学寻求突破，通过收集第一手资料并运用 理论分析，力求对大学生英汉语码转换心理动机进行较为深入、细致的研究。 本文主要研究以下三个问题：大学生对语码转换的态度；大学生进行语码 转换的常见心理动机；性别对大学生语码转换和其进行语码转换的心理动机的 影响。 本文对语码转换研究中的有关术语，尤其是本文采纳的术语进行了界定和 澄清，扫除了该领域因术语之争而造成的概念模糊障碍。澄清了术语之争后， 作者概述了作为本文研究场所的大学校园的背景知识，包括校园内外的语言环 境及其如何满足了语码转换的先决条件，证明了大学校园是研究语码转换的天 然场所 作者认为大学生发生语码转换这种行为是出于某种心理动机的，为此他采 取了观察、访问和问卷调查这三种方法，通过定量分析和定性分析进行论证： 第一，从这三种途径来收集语料及数据；第二，对语料及数据就行统计分析， 找出常见的大学生语码转换心理动机；最后运用收集的语料对大学生语码转换 的心理动机进行逐个举例分析。该研究在合肥市的四所大学内进行，其中作者 把安徽大学作为第一手语料来源，并对部分学生进行问卷调查；同时，作者把 问卷分发到其他三所大学以扩大研究范围，增强该研究的代表性。作者共分发 1 2 0 份问卷，收回1 1 5 份，其中有效问卷1 0 9 份。 该研究表明：绝大多数被调查者遇到过或进行过语码转换行为；绝大多数 被调查者对英汉语码转换持肯定或中立态度，证明了此研究的必要性；同时， 语料和数据调查还揭示了大学生中最常见的语码转换心理动机以及性别对这些 动机的影响。作者在借用前人研究的基础上形成了自己的一套理论，并运用这 一理论对校园语境内大学生语码转换的心理动机进行定性分析。因此，语言态 度，强调和对比，幽默，社会地位，时尚，靠拢和偏离，委婉语，限制受话人， 软化语气等心理动机得到逐一举例分析。 基于条件所限，作者只选取了合肥市的四所大学进行了一个初步的研究， 幸运的是研究范围和深度的不足因研究对象的具体及取得的第一手资料而得以 弥补。需要指出的是本研究的结论还不够成熟，有待于更为全面深入的研究来 进一步论证，但是本研究却能为以后的研究提供语料和数据，并能起到一定的启 发和参考作用，具有一定的理论意义和实践意义。 关键词：语码转换；心理动机；个案研究 a b s t r a c t w i t ht h ed e v e l o p m e n to fm o d e mc o m m u n i c a t i o n ，l a n g u a g e sa n dv a r i e t i e so f t h es a m el a n g u a g ea l eg e t t i n gi nc l o s e rc o n t a c tw i t he a c ho t h e rt h a ne v e rb e f o r e i n b i l i n g u a lo rm u l t i l i n g u a lc o m m u n i t i e s ，c o d e s w i t c h i n g ( c s ) h a sb e e naf r e q u e n t l i n g u i s t i cp h e n o m e n o no fs i g n i f i c a n ta e a d e r n i cc o n c e r ns i n c e1 9 6 0 s r e v i e w i n g c o d e s w i t c h i n gr e s e a r c ha b r o a da n da th o m e ，t h ea u t h o rf i n d st h a tt h e r ea r es o m e r e p r e s e n t a t i v et h e o r i e sa b o u tc o d e -
