古俄语中曾经出现过双数格但是如今消失了，现代英语中还有一些双数范畴的痕迹。根 据数量级理论和生命度学说，有双数才会有三数，有复数才会有双数。双数概念在动词、 形容词、数量词等词性中，都有不同方式的体现。现代汉语中被公认的双数是“俩”， “俩”的词性活跃，有人认为它是数词，也有人觉得它是量词或者合音词。它的用法灵 活，目前语言学界公认其有后缀化倾向。 本文以数量级理论作为理论框架，列举了英汉两种语言中表示双数概念的各种词性 的词，对每种词性中的差异都作了总结此外作者在c l e c 语料库中收集了大学英语四 级考试作文中有关a l l b o t h ，e a c h e v e r y , b e t w e e n a m o n g 这三对典型“双 概念词的语料，
