摘蔓 摘要 自从1 9 7 6 年韩礼德和哈桑发表英语的衔接一书以来，衔接和连贯便成了语篇分 析的重要概念，这概念受到了越来越多语言学家的重视，从而使得连贯研究取得了很 大的进展。同时，这一理论也被引入国内并受到国内众多学者的重视。 英语写作是英语教学的基本技能之一，是外语教学过程中不可或缺的一环。在英语 写作教学中怎样才能使一篇文章流畅自然，正确运用英语衔接方法是问题的关键。然 而，目前国内的很多学生在英语写作中面临的主要问题正是无法正确运用衔接手段，且 其英语写作水平有待提高。 本研究的主要目的是探究衔接理论的应用和提高中国大学英语写作教学质量的相互 关菜j 通过设计相关试验分析了衔接手段教学对中国大学生英语写作质量的影响。相关 试验完成之后，分析了学生英语作文中衔接方面出现的错误，并提出自己对写作教学的 建议。 本研究以韩礼德和哈桑的衔接理论为理论依据，这一理论对于理解和教授衔接有着 深远的影响。 首先，本文论述了当前英语写作教学的现状及本研究的目的和意义。接着阐述了韩 礼德和哈桑的衔接分类方法，构成五种类型的语义衔接，即指称、替代、省略、连接和 词汇衔接，并且讨论了衔接与连贯的关系。指出了恰当运用衔接手段是保证语篇连贯的 重要前提。 在详细讨论了本研究的理论背景后，作者提出了两种假设。( 1 ) 认为对学生进行衔接 手段应用训练可以提高他们的写作质量：( 2 ) 在所有的连接手段中，该训练的作用在连接 和词汇衔接的应用上体现的可能会尤其明显。 然后，本文透过设计相关试验分析了衔接手段教学对中国大学生英语写作质量的影 响。首先对东北林业大学非英语专业本科一年级学生进行英语写作测试。然后，对学生 进行一段时间的衔接手段应用训练后，再对他们进行了一次写作测试。在其中抽取了4 0 份学生作文，并由英语教师作了评阅。为了便于分析，这些作文被分成了两组。在分析 过程中运用韩礼德和哈桑( 1 9 7 6 ) 关于语篇衔接手段的分类法，计算出学生样本作文中所 使用的衔接手段的数量，分析了学生在训练前后在使用衔接手段上的差异，进而判断学 生写作质量是否提高。 最后，得出了本文的结论。同时也就如何提高英语写作教学质量提出自己的一些建
