摘要 摘要是对论文内容简短而扼要的陈述，可以使读者尽快的了解文章的主要内 容。中文学术论文一般都有英文摘要，尤其是学位论文。英文摘要已经成为学术 领域内知识传播的一种主要渠道，同时它也是学位论文的重要组成部分。在我国， 无论学生有着什么样的专业背景，其学位论文都要附有英文摘要。可见英文摘要 的重要性。 作为一种特定的语篇类型，英文摘要具有独特的行文模式。这种模式是由语 篇功能决定的。语篇功能是韩礼德在功能语法中所提出的三种纯理功能之一。它 指的是人们在使用语言时怎样把信息组织好，同时表明一条信息与其他信息之间 的关系。主位推进是实现语篇功能的重要途径之一。正如黄国文( 1 9 9 8 ) 所说，主 位推进是语篇连贯中的重要理论，也是探索文章结构的有效途径。换句话说，主 位推进的使用在一定程度上决定了一篇英文摘要的质量。 因此，本文以徐盛桓提出的七种语义关系以及黄国文提出的六种主位推进模 式为理论框架，对从学位论文数据库( p d q q ) 和中国优秀硕士学位论文全文数据库 ( c m f d ) 中收集来的6 0 篇英文学位论文摘要进行比较分析，其中2 0 篇是由以英语 为母语并且专业为语言学的学生所写，另有2 0 篇是由以外国语言学及应用语言 学为专业的中国学生所写，最后2 0 篇是由以汉语言文字学为专业的中国学生所 写，旨在解决以下三个问题： 第一，三组学生在写英文学位摘要时所倾向于采用的主位推进模式是什 么? 第二，经过比较，它们之间有什么相同点和不同点? 第三，对于存在的相同或不同可能的影响因素是什么? 分析结果显示第一组学生使用最多的主位推进模式是集中型，而第二组和第 三组则更倾向于使用平行型。研究结果还表明在选择主位推进模式的总体趋势上 三组实际上是一样的。因此，通过研究得出了以下结论：在不考虑其他方面因素 的情况下，例如，语法正误，词汇选择等，单从主位推进模式上讲，三组摘要之 间没有明显的区别。也就是说，英语能力对于学生在写英语摘要时对主位模式的 选择影响不大，英语专业的中国学生所写的英文摘要并不比非英语专业的学生写 得好。接着，文章继续从交际目的以及六种主位推进模式本身特点的角度讨论了 三组选择主位推进模式存在着这种相似性的原因。 尽管该研究存在着一定的局限性，但不可否认其在理论和实践的意义。从理 论上来说，它丰富了从主位推进的角度进行语篇分析的研究；从实践上来说，它 会对英文学位摘要的教学与写作给予一定的启示。 关键词：摘要；主位；述位；主位推进模式 m a b s t r a c t i n t e m a t i a l l y e n 酉i s ha b s t i a
