My ideal job There are many kinds of jobs in the world, some people like writing, some people like nursing. As for me,my ideal job is to be a teacher. Here is some several reasons for that. First of all, teacher is the career which is called the engineer of humans spirit. Id like to spend the rest of my life to help more people realizing themselves as well as following the steps of our ancestors, in morallity and in technics. Secondly, I always have a favor of share my experience with others. If I had a chance to be a teacher, Id like to share my study experience with my students to help them to study more easily, and I am in chance of becoming a friend of them, which will make me like this job more. Finally, there exists another attraction that teachers always have vocations. Since then, I can have more time to be with my family, and I always believe that family is important. Obviously, teacher is a good career for the youth, which offers a wide field for the young people to cultivate. Consequently, I am going to want to be a teacher in the future. This is my hobbies. If you have hobbies, you can exchange with me. English use in ChinaThe Chinese nation is huge and hungry for the English language. For two decades there has been a flow of native speakers from the West to teach at schools and academic institutions around the country. But the past few years have seen a remarkable explosion in the number of private language institutes and companies, something that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. The emerging middle class aspires to send their children for private tuition just as in the capitalist countries of Taiwan, Korea, and Japan. So a great many opportunities are opening up and are being advertised abroad especially via the Internet. For example, check for job postings. The eagerness to import English teachers continues unabated in provincial academic institutes. Many middle schools and normal schools (teacher training colleges) have trouble filling teaching posts and turn to foreign recruitment organizations like CIEE which place U.S. nationals in their Teach in China program. Requirements for teaching posts in China are not always stringent: a university degree is often sufficient and teaching experience counts for more than formal training. In many cases teachers receive free airfare, a local salary, and perks. Wages are best in the big cities (Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai) where there are scores of English schools. But many teachers feel that the drawbacks of Chinese city life are so great that they prefer to work in the provinces for less money. The western provinces like Yunnan are more pleasant and less money-mad than the east coast cities. Once you get a job make sure the school sorts out the various permits for which you are eligible, particularly a teachers card that permits half-price rail travel. Ask for help in obtaining a temporary residence so you can avoid the tedious and expensive necessity of renewing your visa. English Teaching in ChinaSome people say that English teaching in China is a total failure. After ten years of English learning, most graduates cant properly communicate with foreigners, nor can they translate between languages with confidence, let alone write in English. As far as college English teaching is concerned, there are three main reasons that help bring about the problem. To begin with, College English teaching is, to a great extent, teacher-centered, turning a language class into a lecture on grammar. It is still very common that the teacher explains every language point in detail, with students taking notes all the time.Secondly, culture is neglected in English teaching. Some outdated materials and a great deal of grammar exercises in the book mislead students to pay too much attention to separate words and grammatical rules. Finally, test-oriented education, in a sense, leads astray language teaching in China. For example, the nationwide College English Test is so over-emphasized in some colleges that teacher teach just for the sake of test, and students learn nothing other than testing techniques. As a result, students language competence is weakened though the passing rate has increased. Therefore, in my opinion, English teaching in China should be reformed. The education should be oriented towards all-round development of personal qualities. And language abilities should be given priority in language teaching and learning.English in AsiaDespite the rumors, a natives knowledge of the English language is not an automatic passport to employment anywhere abroad. It can, however, be put to profitable use in many Asian countries. In Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand and, increasingly, China a high proportion of the population are eager for tuition from English speakers. A university degree in any subject is the only prerequisite, though in some cases just a degree of enthusiasm will suffice. Most foreign teachers work as employees of privately-run language institutes whose owners are often much more interested in maximizing profits than in maintaining high educational standards. Working as a self-employed private tutor is more lucrative than teaching at an institute but normally requires considerable experience of the market and suitable premises from which to work. Teachers must be prepared to face a range of problems and disappointmentsfrom the high cost of housing in Japan to ingrained racist attitudes in many quartersand a resistance to innovation. However, with tact and perseverance it is possible to overcome some of the obstacles encountered by new arrivals. Persuading shy or under-confident students to speak in class will be a challenge in many Asian contexts. Like teachers the world over, those who can make their classes fun and can encourage students to use the English they already know, however limited, get the best results and find the job more rewarding. Relevance of English in daily life as a Chinese Maybe many people think English is very far away from our daily life, but it is a wrong idea. In fact, English is very close to our life.In many places, we can see a lot of signs written in English, if you dont understand English very well, how could you know what they mean? So English is very useful in our daily life. Now many brands advertisements are written in English, including many famous ones. Such as IBM, and it means British Broadcasting Corporation, which uses an advertisement“No business too small, no problem too big.”In Chinese it means“没有不做的小生意,没有解决不了的大问题。” These advertisements even can help the brands to sell well.In our English classes, we can talk with teachers or classmates in English, this will also improve our spoken English and study skills. If we practice more and listen more, Im sure we can study English much better. And there are some useful ways to learn English well in our daily life. Because we often see a lot of details in the street, on the food packages or on the labels attached to some clothes. To pay attention to the details around us is the best and the most effective way to study English. If you love watching and enjoying the movies, youd better study English well because there are many famous films produced in Hollywood and most of them are in English.Do you want to study English well? Are you still worried about learning English or thinking it is too hard to remember English grammar or vocabulary? Please remember the most important thing: English is used in daily life! China-related topics The Chinese dream not only steers a strategic blueprint for Chinas future development, it also reflects Chinas foreign policies in the new era and has far-reaching implications for the world.First, the Chinese dream is a dream of peace. Peace and development, echoing the themes of the times, are the means to achieve national prosperity and rejuvenation, and ensure peoples well-being. Throughout history, China has sought peaceful relations with other countries. Zheng He (1371-1433) led trading fleets west seven times, bringing peace and friendship to more than 30 countries and regions in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The Silk Road linking China with central and western Asia and Europe was a road for peaceful cooperation. The Chinese people are deeply aware of the preciousness of peace, as China suffered humiliation and bullying at the hands of foreign invaders in modern times. Chinas remarkable progress since reform and opening-up has also made people fully aware that without peace little can be achieved. So the country strives for development in a peaceful global environment and promotes world peace through self-development. Chinas new leadership is determined to pursue peaceful development along with the Chinese people, which fully exhibits the peaceful nature of the Chinese dream. My 10 years English study English is becoming more and more important under the trend of globalization, especially for us who often need to read a number of academic thesis in English and will work in the filed of IT f
