(7)Scholarshipsshouldbeusedtheyearforwhichtheyareappliedandawardedfor.Intheeventofcandidatesdeferringtheyearofentrythescholarshipcanalsobedeferred.IfitisdeemednecessaryfortheScholarshipholdertosuspendtheirstudies,thescholarshipwillbeheldonUniversityaountandcarriedforwardtotheyearofresumptionofstudiesandthecandidatewillbeexpectedtopaytheircontributiononapro-ratabasis. (8)DuringandaftertheperiodofstudythecandidatemaybeaskedtoparticipateinpromotionalactivitiesfortheUniversity.Thismayincludereceptionsandsocialevents,testimonialorpublicityarticlesorevenassistingwithactivitiesintheirhomecountry. (9)If,intheviewoftheappropriateInstituteDirector,ascholarshipholdersprogressisdeemedunsatisfactory,thescholarshipmaybewithdrawn.Ascholarshipmayalsobewithdrawnonthegroundsoffailuretoplywithanyoftheconditionsoftheaward.ThecandidatemayberequiredtorepaytheUniversityanyawardwhichhasbeenmade,inwholeorinpart.Ifthescholarfeelsthatsuchawithdrawalisunjustifieds/hemayappealinwritingtotheDirectoroftheInternationalOfficewithin15daysofthedateofnotification. (10)Wheretheapplicantarrangestopayfeesbyinstalmentthescholarshipwillbedeductedfromthefinalinstalment.Wherethecandidatearrangestopaytheirtuitionfeesinfullinadvance,theywillreceivethescholarshipdeductionimmediatelyandthetuitionfeewillbeadjustedaordingly.International(non-EU)applicantsarerequiredtopayadeposittowardstheirtuitionfeesinaordancewithUniversitypolicy.* (11)Thisscholarshipschemeissubjecttoannualreview.TheUniversityreservestherighttomake,amend,withdraw,suspendorcancelwithoutnoticetheseandothersuchRegulationsasmaybeinforcefromtimetotimeandsuchdecisionsshallbefinal. *PleasenotethatanAISawardcannotbeusedagainstthenon-refundabletuitionfeedepositthatwasspecifiedintheofferletterforyourplaceontheMasterscourse.Youwouldhavetopaythisdepositinadvanceofpletingtheadmissionsprocess.TheAberystwythInternationalScholarshipwouldthusbeareductionintheremainingtuitionfees.
