中文摘要 语言教学有其独特的特点，即语言既是学生要学习的内容，又是课堂教学的工具。 在课堂教学中，教师语言便是传达信息、指导学生课堂活动和实现教学目标的重 要渠道。教师语言的质量和数量对学生的外语学习有非常大的影响。特别是在中 国，英语是一门外语，加上以教师为中心的教学还比较普遍，除了教师在课堂提 供的有效输入，学生在课外较难找到其他有效的可理解输入。本文运用话语分析 理论对大学英语教师课堂用语进行研究，揭示大学英语教师课堂用语的使用情 况，探究提高教师课堂用语有效性的途径。 本文首先回顾了中外学者对教师课堂用语的研究，详细阐述了教师课堂用语研究 的几个重要方面。为研究大学英语教师课堂用语的使用情况，作者采用了调查研 究和个案研究两种方法。在调查研究中，作者通过问卷调查，把南京高校的1 8 0 名在校非英语专业大学生作为研究对象，调查学生对教师课堂用语的态度；在个 案研究中，作者录取南京5 所高校5 名英语教师的英语课，每个老师录制两节课。 然后采用s i n c l a i r 和c o u l t h a r d 提出的模式，将这些录音进行转写。通过这些 录音材料，研究教师课堂用语的特点并发现其不足。 通过对问卷和个案研究进行收集的数据分析后表明，中国大学英语教师对课堂用
