摘要 t s 艾略特的荒原是现代主义诗歌的里程碑。无论在诗歌 内容上还是形式上它都为英美诗歌发展指明了新方向。荒原作为 艾略特反传统精神强有力的体现，不仅表现在对浪漫主义文学创作方 法的否定上，而且在创作技巧上也表现出与现实主义极大的不同，陌 生化技巧的运用就是其鲜明特征之一。 “陌生化 是维克多什克洛夫斯基于1 9 1 7 年提出的俄国形式 主义理论中最重要的概念之一，它强调文学程序在读者阅读文学作品 时制造新鲜感的功能。什克洛夫斯基认为，陌生化技巧就是通过改变 人们所熟知的表达方式或是寻找新的角度使熟悉的事物变得不熟悉， 制造新鲜感从而延长审美感悟过程。形式主义对文学作品中程序分析 的重视为本论文提供了理论依据。 本论文以陌生化理论为视角阐释艾略特在荒原中为达到陌生 化效果而使用的陌生化技巧。论文主要分三个章节进行论述。 第一章分析艾略特为达到陌生化效果而采用的反传统的叙述技 巧。在诗歌中，艾略特通过变换第一人称代词的指称，将第一人称有 限视角变形为多视点的第一人称视角，将第一人称见证人的视角变形 为第一人称主人公视角，以表达现代人的生活状态和心理变化；此外 艾略特还通过利用双性人提瑞西斯这个特殊人物的特殊视角，以及除 提瑞西斯以外的其他第三人称视角的客观化和无所不在的特点，来冷 静、客观而深刻地描述现代社会的信仰丧失和道德堕落，在这个过程 中，诗人运用第三人称代词将诗中人物延伸为神话中的原型人物，通 过人称的模糊指称使荒原在叙述技巧上达到了陌生化的效果。 第二章阐述荒原诗歌语言的陌生化技巧。第一节从多种语言 并置的角度分析导致荒原的诗歌语言富于新奇感和陌生化色彩的 原因。同时，多种语言的植入也增加了读者阅读和理解的困难。第二 节从语法变异和语义含混两个方面，分析荒原中诗歌语言的晦涩 性和文学。l 生( 1 i t e r a r i n e s s ) 。 第三章探索艾略特在观察和表达时所使用的特殊思维方式。诗人 的逆向思维和发散性思维打破了习惯性思维的束缚。逆向思维使诗人 运用非人化以及奇喻打破了传统的思维模式；发散性思维使诗人运用 自由联想及听觉想象将诗歌审美过程陌生化。这些都极大地增强了 荒原的晦涩性，同时也增强了荒原的张力和表现力。 通过以上章节的论述，本论文最后得出结论：艾略特通过运用各 种技巧，改变传统叙述方式、创新语言表达技巧、打破习惯性思维模 式，使其诗歌具有了奇异和新颖的特点。这些陌生化技巧的运用增加 了荒原的阅读和理解难度，延长了读者的审美感悟过程，表现出 强烈的陌生化效果。本文从“陌生化”视角来解读荒原，在体味
