摘要 由于不同的语言形成的背景迥然不同，因此每种语言都有着鲜明的历史，地 理，宗教和习俗的特点。翻译作为可以沟通不同语言与文化的桥梁，在跨文化交 际中起着不可或缺的作用。总的来说，翻译中的文化与语言的转换有两种基本策 略：归化和异化。应采用归化，顾及读者的接受习惯，还是采用异化，保持原文 的风貌，最大限度传达原文特定的文化内涵? 这是问题的重点。归化和异化这两 种策略引起了译界学者的广泛关注。有关这两个策略的交锋也无偃旗息鼓的迹 象。 这篇论文试图从红楼梦百年翻译史入手，从历时的角度分析不同时代的 译者如何选择这两种策略。本文选择了红楼梦翻译史上三个不同时期的翻译 作品进行比较分析。这三个版本分别是乔利版、麦克修姐妹版、以及霍克思版的 i ：红楼梦。 文章在一开始概述了国内外翻译界对归化和异化的研究现状。然后介绍了
