言的变异。“世界英语”概念的出现意味着英语不再同于往昔，英语的不断国 际化必然引起英语在全球范围内的本土化，英语在中国的本土化产生了一种 特殊的、具有中国特色的英语变体中国英语。 本文旨在论证中国英语的存在事实以及中国英语的研究对我国英语教学 的启示和意义。文章从中国英语的定义、历史、文化和语言特征的角度，阐 述了中国英语的不同发展阶段的特征和表现形式，并在此基础上分析中国英 语在词汇、旬式和语篇三个层面上的语言特征。尽管中国英语和中式英语存 在异同，但是二语外语习得的相关理论证明，中国英语的是可理解的和可接 受的。通过问卷调查和数据统计分析，文章阐述了中国英语在跨文化交际中 的必要性，指出中国英语是中国文化与英语语言相结合的产物，中国英语的 研究对我国的英语教学具有深远的意义。文章还阐述了“世界英语”的趋同 和趋异现象，并对中国英语的发展前景和趋势做出预测：随着世界范围内使 用英语人数的不断增加，为适应动态的、不可预知的情况，英语语言将不断 发生变异；中国英语将以其自身独特的民族性屹立于世界英语之林，并不断 发展和完善。作者认为，中国的英语教学必须体现母语和目的语双重文化意 识和内涵，英语教师有权利有责任运用具有文化意识和文化创新的教学方法， 以促进中国英语和英语教育的健康发展， 本文旨在论证中国英语的存在事实及中国英语的研究对我国英语教学的启示和意义。 文章阐述了不同学者对中国英语的看法、理解和定位，通过回顾中国英语发展不同阶段， 分析中国英语和中式英语的区别，探讨中国英语的表现形式和发展特征，并在此基础上描 述和分析中国英语在词汇、句式和语篇三个层面的语言特征。根据二语外语习得的相关 理论，论证中国英语的可理解性和可接受性。通过问卷调查和数据统计分析，文章指出了 中国英语在跨文化交际中的必要性，以及中国英语语言特征的研究在我国英语教学中重要 意义。通过阐述“世界英语”的趋同和趋异现象，作者对中国英语的发展前景做出了预测。 全球化是当今时代最重要的社会现象，也是每一个国家和民族都必须面对的现实。在 英语国际化的背景下，如何合理地设置英语课程直接关系到国家外语方针的贯彻、人才培 养目标能否实现的问题。以色列著名语言学家b e r n a r ds p o l s k y 认为，亚洲各国应根据本土 的实际情况来制定教学目标和方针：“在全球化的进程中， 亚洲 各国要根据各自的实际 情况来制定符合本国英语教学和其它重要语言教学的目标和方针过去人们总是以英 美国家的教学目标和方针作为蓝本，现在我们不能再这样做了。英美国家无权，也不可能 决定亚洲各国应该怎么教英语现在将英语作为第二语言或外语的人群要比将英语当 成第一语言的人群大的多各国国情不同，使用英语的目的也不尽相同，根据国情来制 定本国的教学目标和方针才是明智的( 郑新民，2 0 0 6 ：7 7 ) 。”新加坡前任联合国大 使说：“在国外，当开口讲英语的时候，我希望我的同胞能轻易地辨认出我是新加坡人。”在 一定的程度上，上述观点也是研究本课题的动因和意义。中国英语虽然出现并生存于英语 作为国际性语言的环境中，但是中国实行改革开放政策以及中国的经济、文化和政治的快 速发展，客观上需求具有中国特色的中国英语向全世界传播和介绍中国的文明、文化、政 治、经济等发展状况。中国英语的存在极大地丰富了英语词汇和表达形式，对英语语言的 发展做出了贡献。了解和掌握中国英语有助于中国学生学好英语语言并提高跨文化交际能 力，在跨文化交际中，运用中国英语传播中国文化有利于提高中国人的自尊心、自信心和 自豪感。 本文共分六个章节。第一章简要回顾国际和国内环境下英语语言的现状，介绍“世界 英语”的概念。英语在国际事物和跨文化交际中日趋重要的地位和作用，加速了英语的国 际化进程，而英语快速国际化必然引起英语广泛的本土化，英语国际化和本土化双重现象 不可避免地使e n g l i s h 转化为e n g l i s h e s 。目前，国内外英语学者都赞同“英语变体”( e n g l i s h v a r i e t i e s ) 的理论和概念，越来越多的学者已开始关注各种亚洲英语，并对英语在中国的 本土化现象颇感兴趣。 第二章综述了中国英语的研究历史，阐述了不同学者对中国英语的看法、理解和定位， 分析了中国英语在不同历史发展阶段的特征。中国英语在国际国内环境中经历了洋泾浜英 语一一中国式英语一一中国英语三个不同阶段的发展过程。本文认为，尽管中国英语和中式 英语存在异同，但是二者都受到汉语语言和中国文化的影响而且并无本质上的差别。 第三章从词汇、旬式和语篇三个层面描述和分析中国英语的特征。中国英语词汇主要 是用英语对中国新、旧事物进行翻译而形成的，主要采用音译和直译两种方式。音译是用 汉语拼音或汉语拼音加英语读音相结合的方式来体现，称之为外来词或借用词；直译是体 现中国人表达中国文化和语言中特有的事物的方式。句式是语言中最高级别的语法单位， 是人们表达思想和进行交流的最基本的语言单位，中国英语的句式受汉语句式和中国人思 维方式的影响。英语语篇和中国英语语篇比较分析结果显示，中国人在交际和写作中具有 独特的思维方式，它与英语本族人的思维方式大相径庭。 第四章探讨中国英语中的汉语迁移现象。长期以来，中国的英语教师避而不谈英语学 习过程中的汉语迁移现象，认为那是中式英语，违背了标准英语，他们竭力消除这种现象， 其结果往往是徒劳无益的。问题关键是，究竟应怎样看待英语教学中的中式英语和中国英 语现象。近年来，许多英语学者和教师依据中介语、语言迁移、对比分析和错误分析等理 论，分析了中国学生在学习英语过程中出现的错误。研究结论是：中式英语是不可避免的， 是中国人学习英语、使用英语所必须经历的过程；中式英语是一种中介语，具有系统性和 客观性。二语外语习得的相关理论证明，中国英语是可理解的和可接受的。 第五章阐述跨文化交际中应用中国英语表达中国观念的必要性和我国英语教学的现 状。问卷调查和数据统计分析显示，中国英语在我国英语教学中具有十分重要的意义。本 研究就如何在英语教学中提高学生用英语表达中国观念的能力提出了设想和建议，并指出 英语教学不只是向学生提供学习和了解目的语文化的机会，而是应帮助学生完成对外传播 母语文化任务，达到英语教育的目标。大量事实表明，学生用英语表达中国观念的能力不 容乐观，因此教学大纲应提出更高的要求，英语教师应不断提高自身专业素质和跨文化交 v 际能力，成为学生学好英语的领路人 第六章是本文的概括和总结。作者分析了世界英语的趋同和趋异现象，对中国英语的 发展前景做出预测，同时指出该研究存在的问题和局限，简述研究中国英语对我国英语教 学的启示和意义及其未来的走向。中国经济、文化和政治的飞速发展已经使英语在中国成
