摘要 摘要 语言作为一种交际工具，和人类社会一同产生，并随着人类社会的发展而 丰富起来随着世界的发展，人们在政治、经济、文化以及社会生活的各个方 面的交流日益增加，尤其在如今的i t 时代，信息就是力量，获得信息和传播信 息都将成为衡量一个国家和民族在世界上的地位和影响力的重要标志。大众媒 体成为我们获得信息和传播信息的最佳载体，它包括报纸、杂志、广播、电视 等新闻媒介。新闻成为人们生活中不可或缺的部分，因此研究新闻英语是十分 必要的。 新闻英语具有自己鲜明的特点。在英语新闻报刊中经常使用一些习语、俚 语、借代以及一些新造词，容易使读者不得要领。如果没有基本的新闻常识， 不掌握一定的新闻英语的基本特征，就很难完全理解新闻英语。语言具有很强 的社会性，它并非如人们认为的那样不偏不倚地反映现实，尤其是代表一定人 群和阶层利益的新闻英语，所以读者应当了解其政治影响作用并加强此意识， 以此来更好的提高英语水平、获取信息和了解世界。 综上所述，本文着重探讨了一个英语语言中的一个特殊语体新闻英 语：它的语言特征和政治影响作用。 本文共分为五章。第一章主要介绍了研究新闻英语的必要性和重要性、国 内外专家、学者的研究现状及本文的研究方法。第二章主要讨论了新闻英语的 定义以及新闻英语类型。c r y s t a l &
