e v e rg os m o o t h l y 塑型些g 塑竺! ! 竺! ! 型! 竺婪壁 l 甘u舌 一、引言 中国的英语词汇教学受结构主义语言学的影响，很少重视词汇教学中的语用 因素，一直把词汇教学简单地归为词汇量或者词汇的基础意义的教学。很多学生 词汇量很大，但是在实际运用中却不得体。本次研究的目的就是要证明词汇教学 中对词汇量的强调与语言综合能力之间并不具有绝对的相关性，也不能绝对地影 响语言的综合能力；只有在词汇教学中注重其他层次的教授，特别是语用能力的 培养，才能对提高语言的综合能力有所帮助。 二、理论背景 词汇教学方法历经翻译语法教学法、视听法和交际法等演变，已经进入了一 个新的阶段。许多教师尝试把最新的语言学理论运用到词汇教学中，从而补充、 发展词汇教学。 语用学的理论知识的导入就是较新的运用之一。尽管中国大学生在英语学习 中掌握了大量的英语词汇，词汇量基本达到一定的水平，但是在实际运用中仍然 不尽如人意，在交际中产生语用失误的例子非常常见。所以在词汇教学中不应只 盯着掌握词汇的绝对数量，丽更应关注词汇的应用。 在语义学中，作为语言单位，词与相关概念和所指事物的关系分别称为“概 念意义”和“外延意义”。概念意义是词义的内涵，而外延意义则是它的外延，这 是词语指物与表意的基本语言功能，属于词汇语义中的客观因素。但是词除了其 所固有的事物、概念意义之外还带有各种补充的意味，在言语中体现为与语言使 用者的关系，这是其表情达意的具体言语功能，属于词汇语义中的主观因素。这 种主客观因素彼此制约相互作用，共同决定词的语义内涵，构成词汇语义的多面 性，所以词的意义其实应该包括两个部分：客观语义部分一一这是词义的核心部 分，构成词的静态抽象的意义；主观语义部分一一这是词义的附加成分，构成词 动态的具体的意义内涵。这种由主客观因素结合产生的交际意义我们称之为“语 用意义”。 语境就是人们在言语交际中理解和运用语言所依赖的各种变现为言语的或非 言语的主客观环境因素。而如何辨别语境和在一定语境中得体地使用语言的能力 就是语用能力。c h o m s k y 在1 9 6 5 年提出了语言能力( 1 i n g u i s t i c c o m p e t e n c e ) 概念， 但这是与语言运用( 1 i n g u i s t i c p e r f o r m a n c e ) 相对而言的。1 9 7 2 年h y m e s 提出了更 宽泛的交际能力这一概念，他认为语言使用者的能力不但是分辨语句是否合乎语 法的能力，还包括判断是否合乎交际环境的能力，包括形式上的可能性、实施手 段的可行性、语境中的适宜性和在现实中的实施状况。其第一部分相当于c h o m s k y 的“语言能力”，后三部分体现为具体语境中语言运用的适宜性( a p p r o p r i a t e n e s s ) ， 被统称为“语用能力”( p r a g m a t i cc o m p e t e n c e ) 。如果缺乏这种能力，就会出现语 用失误。 词汇教学中语用因素就是要培养学生辨别语境和在一定语境中使用得体地使 用词的能力，尽量避免出现语用失误。 三、研究方法 1 研究问题 考虑到目前很少关于词汇教学中语用因素的研究，人们对语用能力、词 汇量和英语综合能力之间的关系并不很清楚，因此本研究通过一系列测试来试图 了解： 1 ) 词汇量和英语综合能力之间是否具有相关性? 如果有，这种相关性有 多大? 2 ) 语用能力与英语综合能力之间是否具有相关性? 与词汇量相比，语 用能力对英语综合能力的影响是更大还是较小? 3 ) 词汇教学中应该采用何种方法来提高学生的语用能力? 2 研究对象 受试对象为南京都电学院二年级非英语专业学生，即将参加c e t - 4 考试， 因此其词汇量、英语综合能力都处于其学习英语以来的最好水平。本研究共选择 了五个英语班，从中随机抽取出共6 7 名学生进行测试，平均年龄2 0 岁。最低英 语学习年限7 年。 3 试卷设计 本研究采用了两个测量工具来获得所需的数据。一是以大学英语教学大纲 ( 修订本) 项目组设计的高校新生英语词汇测试卷作为词汇量测量工具，来获得 词汇量的数据。其词汇分布是3 ，3 0 0 ，共测1 0 0 个词，每个词后配4 个中文备选 项，其中之后一个是正确答案，其余3 个为干扰项，每个词选对得1 分，选错或 不选为o 分；二是南京邮电学院c e t - 4 考试模拟卷，作为语言综合能力的测量工 具，来获得语言综合能力的数据。该试卷由斫力( 2 0 分) ，阅读理解( 3 0 分) ，词 汇结构( 2 0 分) ，完型填空( 1 5 分) 和作文( 1 5 分) 五部分组成，总分为1 0 0 分。 两个测试工具均由专家设计，因此其信度和效度应该是好的。 4 分析和结论 数据收集概况如下： z 测试成绩描述性统计表
