摘要 摘要 本文旨在探讨威廉福克纳的后期代表作之一村子的叙事方式以及作者 个人生活对小说创作的影响。福克纳以其精湛的叙事技巧蜚声于国内外，他被认 为是2 0 世纪伟大的实验主义小说家，他的作品在叙事技巧上鲜有雷同之处。村 子的叙事与前期代表作有很大的不同，看似松散的结构下蕴藏着缜密的设计。 通过多聚焦多层次的叙事方式，福克纳把看似毫无相关的故事紧密地联系在一 起，刻画了村子中两股对立的势力，揭示了作者本人对新经济势力入侵的矛盾心 理也表达了他对现代人走出精神荒原的思考和探索。这两类对立的极端人物也跟 作者的个人经历有关，通过对作者传记的学习，笔者认为村子中两类矛盾的 人实际上就是作者矛盾的个体的体现。 本文第一章主要通过米克巴尔的叙事学理论中关于多聚焦多层次叙事的 理论来分析说明村子的叙事技巧。聚焦者和叙事者在聚焦和叙事的同时不断 完善中心人物的形象，同时也揭露了他们的性格特征。福克纳通过这样的方式描 绘了色彩斑斓的乡村生活景象。 第二章主要讨论小说人物的时间观以及不同时问观对他们的命运的影响。福 克纳的哲学是时间哲学，他的时间观继承了柏格森的“绵延”学说，认为过去、 现在和将来连为一体没有分明的界限，割裂过去现在和将来的联系导致了人物的 悲剧，联系地看待它们使得他们能掌握自己的命运。 第三章主要通过福克纳的传记以及书信讨论作者个人生活对小说人物刻画 的影响。作者既羡慕弗莱姆的成功又不耻于他的勾当，因此刻画了充满着自然美 的尤拉和充满着爱的艾克与弗莱姆抗衡，体现了作者在内心深处仍然怀着对人性 美的崇敬之情。 结论部分是对前面分析的总结，并重申写作技巧是为内容服务，同时这部分 也对村子在中国的研究情况做了个简要的介绍。 关键词：叙事；时间观；矛盾 s y n o p s i s s
