叶芝诗歌中的衔接 对叶芝诗歌的文体分析 王慧贞( 英语语言文学) 指导教师：宋德生教授 摘要 衔接理论经过三个历史时期的发展，已日趋成熟和完善。从j a k o b o s o n 最早对衔接理论的研究到h a l l i d a y 与h a s a n ( 1 9 7 6 ) t 式提出衔接理论，从 h a s a n ( 1 9 8 5 ) 的衔接理论模式到胡壮麟、张德禄、刘世生的理论模式，衔 接理论的研究范畴已从语篇内部衔接扩展到语篇外部衔接，从系统功能语 言学的视角发展到语用学、认知语言学的视角。至此，衔接理论已成为一 个跨学科的研究课题。在国内，对衔接理论的应用，尤其是把这一理论深 入到诗歌领域的研究并不多见。此外，对叶芝诗歌的研究多围绕诗歌的主 题或修辞手段展开。本文把叶芝的诗歌作为语料，运用衔接机制，对诗歌 进行文体分析。一方面，对衔接理论进行尝试性验证；另一方面，对叶芝 诗歌的文体价值在一定程度上作了探讨 全文共分为六个部分。 前言论述了选题的依据、意义，并指出了本文中一些概念的界定范围。 论文第一章简要回顾了衔接理论的发展，对每个时期的衔接理论做出 相应评价，提出衔接理论体系仍需进一步发展与完善。 第二章与第三章把h a l l i d a y 与h a s a n ( 1 9 7 6 ) 的三种衔接机制，指称、 省略与词汇衔接运用到诗歌文体分析中。此外，把与h a s a n ( 1 9 8 5 ) 衔接 链相关的指称衔接链，搭配衔接链也应用到诗歌文体分析中。通过分析论 证，我们认为搭配链属于h a s a n 衔接链中的近似链。指称、省略这两种 衔接手段可产生许多文体效果：在语音层面上，可以取得和谐押韵的美学 效果；在语意层面上，有助于诗歌主题的发展；在句法层面上，可使句子 的结构产生前景化的特点过分规则产生平行结构、省略产生句式上的 变异。因此，指称与省略不仅使诗歌更富有音乐性，而且使诗歌的语篇结 构更凝练、语意更连贯。重复可以形成形式上的过分规则，可以取得强化 意义、表现主题等文体效果。指称链与搭配链有助于发展诗歌的主题，塑 造人物形象，表达诗人的情感。 第四章是本文的核心部分。在这一章里，本文结合认知语言学中与心 理空间相关的理论，提出了一种新的衔接机制意象衔接。我们界定了 意象的范畴，以区分认知语言学中的意象。通过运用心理空间的相关理论， 本文试图证明文学中的意象具有一定的衔接力：在同一首诗中，不同的意 象之间，具有很强的衔接力，通过心理空间的作用，彼此互相呼应，有助 于在读者的头脑中形成一个完整的意象：这些不同的意象与生成的完整意 象具有外指衔接的作用，可以指向一定语境中的实体。这样，心理空间起 到一定的桥梁作用，把文学中的意象与系统功能语法中的衔接联系在一 起。因此，意象衔接的提出在一定程度上是对衔接理论的发展。本文在提 出意象衔接的同时，运用叶芝的两首诗歌库尔的野天鹅、两棵树 验证这一理论对诗歌进行文体分析的可适用性，并对意象衔接在诗歌中的 文体功能作了尝试性探讨意象衔接可以使读者身临其境感受诗人的 情怀，在一定程度上起到强化诗人思想感情的作用。
