（英语语言文学专业论文）从德国功能主义的角度看汉语政经词语的英译.pdf

摘要 改革开放以来，中国一直致力于走向世界，因此中国的英文报刊发挥着越来 越重要的作用。而且，社会的发展变化促成越来越多的汉语政经词语出现。所以， 在很多情况下，这类词语翻译的好坏在很大程度上影响着外界对中国崭新面目的 认识。此外，中国的翻译理论家对这类词语的英译研究往往陷于直译和意译的争 论之中。但是，单纯一种标准或方法无法解决这类词语英译中存在的众多问题。 为了弥补这些缺陷，本文把德国功能主义理论借用到汉语政经词语的英译研 究中。德国功能主义根据行为学的理论认为翻译是一种有目的的行为活动，所以 翻译目的是选择翻译方法的最终决定因素。依据这一理论，本文提出充分实现翻 译目的的翻译才是对汉语政经词语适宜的翻译。 这一翻译理论对汉语政经词语的英译问题具有很强的解释性和指导性。这些 词语的英译具有强烈的目的性，发挥着中国对外宣传的窗口作用，所以衡量翻译 质量的最重要的标准是翻译目的实现程度。这点恰好与德国功能主义提倡的翻译 原则相吻合。 本文正是应用这一理论来研究汉语政经词语的英译问题，进而论证了对于这 类词语的翻译，越能充分实现翻译目的，就越适宜，并据此提出了一系列相应的 翻译对策。此外，本文提倡应该根据不同的翻译目的持有一种动态，而不是死板 的翻译批评态度。 关键词：德国功能主义、目的、功能、适宜性、汉语政经词语、英译汉 a b s t r
