摘要 竞选总统的演讲在美国政治生活中扮演着十分重要的角色。作为政治活动的 参与者，总统候选人要通过演讲来与选民进行交流，打动和说服选民，最终实现 其竞选成功的目的。在学术界，目前已有少数几位学者从系统功能语法，批评语 言学，批评性语篇分析和修辞学等角度对美国总统竞选演讲进行了研究。这些学 者的研究结果对从不同层面理解美国竞选总统演讲发挥了作用，但作为一种特殊 的政治语篇，美国总统竞选演讲仍有继续深入研究的空间。鉴于此，本研究选取 了美国总统巴拉克奥巴马竞选演讲中标志选举进程的五篇演讲为研究对象，借 鉴古典修辞学中亚里士多德的劝说理论和新修辞学中肯尼斯彳自克的同一理论对 其进行深入分析。 劝说和同一理论分别是西方古典修辞学和新修辞学的核心理论，把两者结合 起来对巴拉克奥巴马的总统竞选演讲进行研究，既体现了古典修辞学和新修辞 学在其演讲中的完美结合，又可以证明演讲在总统竞选过程中所起的重要作用， 还能从新的视角为巴拉克奥巴马演讲的研究者和公共演讲及修辞爱好者提供一 点参考价值。 通过对巴拉克奥巴马五篇竞选演讲的深入分析，本研究试图回答以下三个 问题： 1 在这五篇竞选演讲中，劝说和同一策略是如何运用的? 2 劝说和同一的关系在文中是如何体现的? 3 这两大策略的使用起到了什么效果? 本研究一共分为五个部分。 第一章简要介绍了本研究的总体概况。首先，陈述了研究背景，提出了研究 问题；然后介绍了研究方法和资料收集情况：接着指出了研究意义和目的；最后 概括了论文的组织结构。 第二章是文献综述部分。在这章中，介绍了巴拉克奥巴马的背景知识，回 顾了前人对巴拉克奥巴马演讲的研究并进行了批评性分析，最后对本章做了总 结。 第三章介绍了亚里士多德的劝说理论，肯尼斯伯克的同一理论及劳埃比砌 的修辞情景理论。这一章为第四章的案例分析打下了理论基础。 第四章运用第三章提出的理论框架对巴拉克奥巴马的五篇竞选演讲进行了 具体分析。通过分析，我们对第一章提出的问题做出了回答并得出了以下结论： 第一，巴拉克奥巴马通过劝说理论中的三大诉诸手段和受众取得同一。第二， 劝说和同一策略的使用，使巴拉克奥巴马的竞选演讲具有很强的说服力和感染 力，在很大程度上促成了巴拉克奥巴马竞选的成功。
