英 文 文 献 综 述remark:the article introduce the prediction of finite element analysis for an accurate manufacturing of drawing dies and the future trend of computer simulation. in the work, the numerical simulation methods of complex part was discussed. this paper coincides with research direction of masters dissertation and the structure is advisable. in a word, the paper is acceptable.tutor:date:a method for designing a serial product ball valve using the configuration function in solidworksabstract: a ball valve is a common mechanical product for connecting and closing a media outlet in equipment. to adapt to pipes of different sizes, a ball valve is of ten designed into a serial product of standard specifications. in accordance with usual routine designing, it is demanded to draw a set of blueprints for every specification and to mark its sizes. we propose using the configuration functions in the three dimensional designing software solidworks to realize the ball valve products serialization for effective designing. it only requires designing a set of blueprint integrated with a serial parts designing chart. in this way, it can accomplish the designing process of a numeral blueprint. successful applications proves that this method is practical for serial partsdesign.keywords:ballvalve, solidworks, configuration function1 introductionthe ball valve is a crucial mechanical product for industries, national defense and peoples life. it is widely applied in the systems of petroleum, natural gas, mining refining, processing and pipe transporting, in the production system of chemical products, medical and medicinal products as well as food processing, in electric production system of hydroelectric thermal and nuclear power, in the system of water supply and sewerage, heat and gas supply, in agricultural irrigation and in the production system of metallurgy. the ball valve is used in connecting a pipeline system for truncating and contacting media flow and allowing media transporting to establish points in accordance with the predestined direction.the ball valve is a valve using a sphere with rotundity as a controlling gear and the sphere realizes start stop-with the movement of the valve stem. the start-stop controller is a sphere with holes revolving around an axis perpendicular to the channel so as to attain start and stop. the ball valve is mainly used in connecting and closing pipes and media in the equipment.features of a ball valve include: adapting to frequent operation, instant and convenient start-stop, less fluid resistance, simple structures, relatively tiny with minor maintenance, well2sealed, free from limitations of installation directions, disposable flow-direction media and less vibration and noise. by its structure, a ball valve can be divided as: floating ball valve, fixed ball valve, elastic ball valve and oil-seal ball valve; by its channel, it can be divided as straightforward, angle and three ways; by connecting forms, a ball valve can be classified as three forms of threaded, flanged and welded connection.figure 1a threaded connecting float ball valvethere are two app roaches to realizing parametric designing by adopting solidworks platform, one is by secondary development of solidworks, i.e. by vc /vb programming, operating and controlling solidworks object to realize parametric designing; or by dimension driven technique and external programming to realize parametric designing. the other is by flexible application of the functions of solidworks serial parts designing schedule and characteristic compressing to realize parametric designing. in this paper, we will adopt solidworksserial parts deploying technique to realize the ball valves parametric designing.2 apply ing solidworksdeployment function to realize parameter designingdeployment is a paramount function of solidworks; approaches of utilizing deployment are to design similar serial parts and installation program by compressing and hiding features with respective naming for swift realizing of a designing task, or by a serial parts designing schedule to control the dimension so as to generate diverse deployment for the realization of parameter designing.similarly, assembling parts with properties of multiple deployments together by defining each partslocation in the assembly body will realize the designing so as to realize the products parameter designation. parts with multiple properties can generate a project graphic with different norms, requiring multilateral molding, revising and assembling, economized time and improved efficiency.3 ball valves element parametric designing process based on deployment techniquethe parts can be designed into serial accessories to adapt to the requirement of different norms. the designing procedures are as follows:figure 2a spool and its dimensions(1) designing of basic accessory and naming of dimension and features first, we design accessories of ball valve with solidworks. to be convenient for later modification and designing, the software can amend and name features of accessory and dimension of a sketch. amendment and naming of features can select the item of naming features when establishingvia the menu of options, allowing the system to remind the inputting name of a feature while establishing, also click the name of features twice in the syndrome after accomplishment of establishment to modify the name of features. modifications of sketches can be executed by instantly clicking more propertiesin the dimensional feature column after dimension labeling, modifying name of dimension in the dimensional feature dialogue box. it can also be completed after designing by clicking the upper button of annotation, selecting an option of the menus demonstration of dimensional features,then click dimension in the features and choosing orders of propertiesin the pop2up menu and amending name of dimensions in the popping property dialogue box. prior to the amendment of dimensional names, first select the option of demonstration of dimension namesin the optional menu, allowing dimensional names demonstrating in the draft. it p roves to be convenient for observation and revision.(2) establishing serial accessory designing chart when clicking the upper button of annotationin the administrator, select options of demonstrating features dimensionin the pop2up menu, allowing all the dimension in the features demonstrating on the screen. part of the dimensions p rove useless in the option, for instance, when establishing revolving features, there would display a dimension of 360, such dimension can be diminished from the screen by clicking hiding. select serial accessory designing chartto pop property administrator, and execute the following operations as listed:1.select the sourcebutton, choose blankto insert a blank serial accessory designing chart2.with the editingbutton, selecting block the model edition renewing serial accessory chart,thus it will guarantee that the renewing will not be allowed to alter the model when renew serial accessory designing chart.3.clear new parameter and new deployment under the option, thus any modification on the model will not renew the serial accessory designing chart.(3) choosing the confirm in the property administrator of serial accessory designing chartto pop up a form of excel, and double clicking dimensions in the feature, then, inputting the name of dimensions into the form; simultaneously, the dimensional value will emerge in the blanks under the names, clicking dimensions gradually and thus will input all the dimensions requiring controlling by serial accessory designing chartinto the forms. continuously editing the form and inputting names of every deployment on the left side, then inputting the dimensions value under each dimension will be the accomplishment of each dimensions value establishment in the deployment. amendment is allowed for the first deployed name acquiescent inputting.(4) serial accessory is shown in the upper part of the feature manager; choose the configuration manager and open it. we will see in the configuration manager, while designing the serial accessory chart, there will be generated the corresponding configuration. with high brightness indicating the opened deployment, the gloomy indicating the currently compressed configuration, double clicking the name of a compressed deployment will open it and compress other configurations.(5) by utilizing app roaches of compressing configuration to control features of serial accessory beyond maintenance. the serial accessory designing chart can merely control a dimensional value in the features, but can not control variations that must be completed by amending the figure. such amendments can be solved by compressing the deployments features. double clicking the name of a compressed configuration and opening it are designing features in the configuration. when double clicking other deployments, the designation that was just completed would vanish with the located configuration; the specified features in the opened deployment could be executed at this moment. such features could not be controlled by the serial accessory designing chart; the designation must be executed by adding features in a single configuration.the serial accessory designing chart can merely control a dimensional value in the features, but can not control variations that must be completed by amending the figure. such amendments can be solved by compressing the deployments features. double clicking the name of a compressed configuration and opening it are designing features in the configuration. when double clicking other deployments, the designation that was just completed would vanish with the located configuration; the specified features in the opened deployment could be executed at this moment. figure 3( a) and ( b) , respectively, demonstrate 1 /2and 3 /4ball valves projected labeling characters; such features could not be controlled by the serial accessory designing chart; the designation must be executed by adding features in a single configuration.figure3sign of 1 /2and 3 /4ball valves chest4 adopting the solidworks configuration function for ball valve assembling parametric designingthe ball valve is assembled by numerous elements. assembling accessories with various configuration properties together can accomplish assembling a bodys installation so as to realize the ball valves parametric design. the operation processes are as follows:(1) newly built a ball valves assembling body.(2) insert accessories into the assembling body. the newly inserted parts adopt an acquiescent configuration.(3) by changing the accessorys configuration to select parts with different models ( i. e. , parts of different dimensions in the respective models assembling) the method is: right clicking the name of a part in the feature manageror in the graphic and figure window. selecting accessory propertyin the pop-up menu, and then selecting configurations of the desired accessory in the pop-up propertys dialogue box.(4) assembling the accessories by adding the coordinating relations.adopting the above method will design a ball valve assembling body. when it is needed to design an assembling body of a new and similar category with different dimensions, merely change the configuration of each accessory; the designation of the whole assembling body could be altered. interfering checks could also be executed in the assembling designing to avoid assembling failure caused by respective designersfault in communications.5 generating engineering drawing by utilizing configurationsafter designing accessory models with more configurations, engineering drawings are needed to generate production. utilizing functions of configuration of solidworks could conveniently generate the accessory viewgraph with the norms of every dimension. figure4 ( a) and ( b) , respectively, demonstrate the engineering drawings generated by utilizing spool partstwo different dimensions and norms. while generating such engineering drawing, we are exclusively selecting any configuration in the model to generate a marked dimension. when generating another engineering d
