06公共事业管理 郭慧如 20061302049my review on junoplot overviewthis movie is about a smart girl named juno macguff, who is only 16 but mature beyond her age. the story began on the night at which juno had sex with her best friend paulie bleeker. two months later, juno found herself pregnant. unable to go through with an abortion, juno decided to give the baby up for adoption, so she found childless couple mark and vanessa through the want ads.juno decided to confess to her parents and told them her adoption plan. having heard about this, junos parents were comparative calm instead of being mad. during pregnancy, her parents and friend leah offered as much help as they can. mark and juno were both interested in punk music and old horror movies, so they became trusted friends soon. as juno spent more time with mark and vanessa, she realized that their marriage isnt quite as picture-perfect as it first appeared. meanwhile,juno once fought with paulie bleeker for he dated with another girl. after that juno finally realized that she was in love with him, and so did paulie. about the screenplayits smart and sassy, warm yet frequently caustic, realistic but kind of story bookish - and very funny. in fact, this kind of situation can be found in many movies and in our real life a little girl who is still a senior student being knocked up by her boyfriend. but juno is kind of different.first of all, juno gave the child to childless people instead of aborting it. she chose to give birth to the baby. to a senior student, it needs great courage. although it was junos fault to have sexual relationship and get pregnant with bleeker, but she tried hard to fix it. the story is optimistic and warm. secondly, juno gave up aborting her baby because her schoolmate told her that it already had finger nails. although juno is a cool girl and always did things whatever she wanted, but she still respect for life. i think most chinese people should rethink profoundly. in most western countries, abortion is illegal, while in china it is not. we can easily find abortion ads in tv, radio and bus. in most chinese girls opinion, abortion is not a big deal. they just consider for their own good but pay little attention to the babys life.in addition, the baby didnt make juno quarrel with bleeker, but make her realize what true love is. at the beginning, juno and bleeker were best friends. they were in love with each other, but neither of them realized it until juno madded about bleekers dated with another girl. other people are supposed to fall in love before they reproduce, but they do just the opposite. i think this is another kind of romance. about the characterit is obvious that juno is a smart girl, very active and very independent. she says a lot, but not always what she means. she seems mature beyond her age but sometimes she acts childish too. this character is kind of irreal, but i still love her for the reasons thas listed below.she is out of the common. in this movie, bleekers mother once said that: shes just different; mark also said to juno that: you are something else. actully, juno is not like most normal girls as we are. she is mature, independent and extremely brave. when she found out she was pregnant, she finally dicided to bear the responsibility and gave birth to the baby. as a senior high student, it is a tough thing. she must bear the pressure that getting more and more fat and peoples jeer behind her back. but she never cared about others common. she is very sincere. juno is very talkative and active, she treats evry one sincerely and faithfully. when she met her schoolmate su chun on her way to wonan now to have abortion, she suggested su not having medicine and told su the crazy thing shed done because of drug abuse. at the first time she went to mark and vanessas home, she told them her abnormal behavior without disguise. juno is such a girl who always lives the way she wants and never pretends.she is very sensitive and respect for life. although juno always does thing she likes. but facing the abortion issue, she showed us that she is respect for life. she gave up abortion because she believed that her baby already had finger nails. she realized that the baby shes bearing also had life, and she should not deprive its life.she is very optimistic. if a 16-year-old highschool girl meet such a terrible problem, she would probably feel upset or even commit suicide. but since juno is very cheerful in nature, she can still crack jokes just like nothing has happened.about the musicat the first few minutes of the movie, i was attracted by the amazing opening song all i want is you, with accordion and guitar accompaniment. there are about 10 songs inserted in the movie, each of them are
