中文摘要 委婉语是一种社会语言现象，也是人们在交际过程中为营造和谐气氛，确保语 言交际顺利进行的一种常见言语手段。本文首先提出了人际变量对委婉语的使用 产生影响的假设，即说话者对年长的或比自己职位高的人使用委婉语；说话者对 一般熟人比对朋友更多使用委婉语，在与异性进行语言交际时要比在同性面前更 多使用委婉语，女性要比男性更多的使用委婉语。
