中文摘要 翻译是促进国际交流与理解的一种手段 文化差异是翻译中最难处理的问题之一 因此 成为翻译理论和实践中令人比较关注的一个问题 翻译中的文化研究 不可避免地涉及典籍 的英译问题 近年来 中国典籍的英译问题已成为中国翻译研究中的一个热点问题 所以本 篇论文旨在探讨这一热点问题的一个方面 接受美学 文化知识 翻译策略三者之间存在内在的联系 一方面 从接受美学 我们 可以推知 读者的视阈应该受到译者的关注 因为读者的视阈指的是在阅读之前存在于读者 脑海中的所有东西 所以文化知识必然成为读者视阙中的一个重要组成部分 由此 我们可 以进一步得出这样的推论 译者应该重视读者的文化知识 另一方面 翻译中的归化 异化 策略理论关注的是在翻译中如何处理文化因素的问题 因此本论文将以接受美学 归化 异 化理论作为理论基础 对 西游记 的两个英文译本 劢e j o u r n e yt 从翻译策略的角度看 y u 的异化程度更强一些 因为他的译文中有大量文后注释 尾注 而且正文前对与 西游记 有关的背景知识进行了大量且详尽的介绍 从接受美 学的角度看 j e n n e r 更倾向于照顾目标读者 西方以英语为母语的普通读者 的视阈 而 y u 更倾向于照顾原作的视阈 在对 西游记 两个英译本进行个案分析的基础上 最后笔者从更大范围 中国典籍 英译的角度 谈论文化负载项翻译的有关问题 没有一个译者在译文中只采用一种翻译策 略 但是一个策略会居于主要地位 另外 归化 一异化策略的选择与译者对读者视阈的态度 有很大关系 并且可以通过他在翻译中对读者视阈的处理方式显示出来 再者 接受美学认 为 没有读者的参与 译文的价值就无法实现 因此译者应该对译文读者的视阈有相当的了 解 但是 译文也不能一味地迁就译文读者 译者为了丰富目标语言 文学和文化 可以经
