Introduction : 1) The way of packing is decided by the type of the products and their destination, and it can be generally divided into two types: outer packing and inner packing2) Outer packing is used for the convenience of protecting and transporting goods.3) Inner packing is known as small packing or immediate packing is designed for the promotion of sales.2.Discussion:. Detailed study2.1 Different Ways of Packing Bale: A heap of material pressed together and tied with rope or metal wire, suitable for paper, wool, cotton, and carpets, etc. Bag: Made of cotton, plastic, paper or jute, ideal for cement, fertilizer, flour, chemical, etc. Barrel/Drum: Made of wood, plastic or metal, used for liquid or greasy cargoes. Box/Case: Wooden in structure and of various sizes, and some are airtight, providing strong protection for cargoes such as electric equipment and car accessories. Glass Container: Used for dangerous liquid cargoes such as acids but needs careful handling. Carton: Now a very common form of packing particularly for consumer-type of products. It also aids marketing as words can be printed on them. Crate/Skeleton Case: Wooden structure between a bale and a case used for lightweight goods of large cubic capacity as machinery.2.2 Factors Influencing Ways of Packing Packing should be designed according to the need of the cargo. Factors in relation to transport such as the nature of transit, loading and unloading facilities, and transport unit should be considered. Packing should be in compliance with import countrys customs or statutory requirements. Packing must meet insurance acceptance conditions. Packing should also be economical while being sufficient, and make the handling as easy as possible. Marking of the packing themselves is of equal importance.2.3 Suggesting the Way on Packing a.
