page 3 unit 1 text a i am home我回家了i grew up on a farm with a huge family. there was lots of love, lots of space and lots to do. from gardening in the greenhouse to chasing our old goose, feeding the daily lives. to find proof, you have only to leaf through a magazine or newspaper or count the radio or television commercials (that you hear in one evening). most people see and hear a mass of advertising messages every day. and people respond to the many devices (that advertisers use to gain their attention). by advertising, just because advertising not only informs us about products and services, but also persuades us to change our behavior. advertisers or advertising agents use a variety of techniques in order to better convince us to buy a product, to shape our attitude towards their product, and to make us believe that our value is the name brands that we buy. these techniques may include repetition, vague terms, emotional appeal, and us asking too many questions. by attempting to make us choose quickly and without long consideration, some advertisers hope to make rapid sales: “buy now, before theyre all gone!” often they use experts or stars words to promote the superior quality of their product: “three out of four doctors recommend.”, or “this is my ideal think of how many cell phone adverts link their use to having more friends or a better social are also important, such as a happy family eating a meal outside. it may be a sentimental version of family life, but it appeals to when you think of summer, you probably think of ice cream and the beach. when you see a car advert, you may link the car to the idea of success although you know well that todays driving means traffic jams and parking
