Holidays教学设计一. 教案背景 小学六年级英语阅读课二教学课题 苏教版 牛津小学英语6A Unit6 Holidays三教材分析本单元主要围绕“谈论节日里所做的事情”这一话题展开教学。这一单元的内容体现了浓郁的东西方文化特点,是一个学生十分感兴趣的话题。我将零散的节日分为三类:中国传统节日(Chinese festivals), 西方节日(Western holidays)和国际性节日(International holidays)。本课时教授中国传统佳节Chinese Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival和Dragon Boat Festival,同时扩充了原文中没有的元宵节(Lantern Festival), 重阳节(Double-ninth Festival), 清明节(Qing-ming Festival)等。学生通过对中国四大传统佳节的时间、代表食物和人们的活动的初步了解,学习本单元的四会句型Whens? They四教学方法1. 直观法:通过大量网络中搜索到的相关节日的图片、声音和视频活动,让学生从视觉、听觉等角度直观地了解这些节日及活动,图文并茂,活泼生动,调动了学生的学习兴趣,加大了课堂的信息容量,优化了教学方法。2. 自主探究法:用类似Jigsaw reading的方式开展自主阅读并交流信息,通过Self reading、share reading的独学、对学、群学方式提升课堂效率。五教学过程I教学目标与要求:(一)知识目标:1. 能听说读写以下中国传统节日:Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Dragon Boat Festival2. 能了解并听说读写以下中外节日中人们的活动(下划线表示新单词):visit relatives and friends, eat lots of delicious food, get red packets, play fireworks, watch dragon and lion dances, watch the moon, play with lanterns, eat moon cakes, eat rice dumplings, watch dragon boat races, eat sweet dumplings, watch lanterns.3. 能熟练掌握句型:Whens? (O.K!)2) Sing the song together: The months.2 新课教学:阅读前(Pre-reading)1) T: There are 12 months in a year. And therere many holidays in the 12 months. Childrens Day, Teachers Day, Lantern Festival, Valentines Day, Easter, Mothers Day.They are all holidays or festivals.T: Do you know what holiday it was Oct.31st? (Halloween)T: Do you want to know what western people do on Halloween? (Yeah.) T: O.K. My American friend Kate sent me an e-mail about their Halloween in the US. Lets check it out. ( listening and reading)(e-mail:Dear Sally I was very excited last Wednesday. It was Halloween. I made many different terrible masks and pumpkin lanterns with my cousins. In the evening, we dressed up in costumes and went to parties. And then, we went to our neighbors houses and asked for sweets. We rang their doorbells and yelled,Trick or treat!They gave us many yummy sweets. It was really fun!Are there any interesting holidays in China? Tell me something about them, O.K? Its very popular in China. At Spring festival, everyone is excited and happy. They say “gongxi gongxi” to each other. People hang big red lanterns and stick on couplets. What do you usually do at Spring Festival? (I usually go shopping with/ play with friends)Spring Festival (the sound of fireworks): (1) visit relatives and friends Teach “relative” T: Whos your relative? Ss: My aunt/uncle/ cousin/ grandfather is my relative.(2) eat lots of delicious food T: You go to your relatives houses and visit them. You have a big dinner together. Theres lots of delicious food. You eat lots of delicious food. Teach “delicious” T: What is delicious? Ss: (mouth watering) Chick/ KFC/ Ice cream is delicious (3) get red packets T: At the dinner table, your relatives give you some red packets, right? Thats the most exciting thing! Youll be very happy! Teach “get red packets” T: Who are the red packets usually from? Ss: I get the red packets from/ My give me red packets. (give red packets to those who gives good answers.)(4) play fireworks T: After the big dinner, its time for fireworks! Teach “fireworks” T: Can you describe “fireworks”? Ss: The fireworks are colorful and beautiful. Some are red and yellow. Some are blue and green. They fly into the sky and break up. We play fireworks on holidays.(5) watch dragon and lion dances T: Theres another typical activity that people usually do at Spring Festival. What is that? Do you know? (I like) We have three groups, go to your group, read the passage about your favorite festival, and finish the table with your group members.(1) First reading: Read each passage quietly, find out the date of the festival.(2) Second reading: Find out the food that people eat at each festival.(3) Third reading: Read again, try to find out what people usually do at the festival. Underline their activities. Try to guess the meanings of new words according to the contest. 3) Talk about three festivals together:Mid Autumn FestivalT: When do we eat moon cakes?Ss: Mid Autumn Festival.T: Whens Mid Autumn Festival?Ss: Its in September or October. T: The Mid Autumn Festival is just passed. Lets think back. What did we do at Mid Autumn Festival?
