The 52 tropical plant species and 142 isolates from 30 ECTM and 10 AM fungi were tested in glasshouses, nurseries and fields. Screen out better 34 isolates from 18 ECTM fungi and 5 AM fungi. Based on the project, output the 8 types of inocula and their application techniques, and edible fungus inoculum production and their application techniques, and yield of mycorrhizal fungus inocula were over 600 tons per year. It is can be eaten while harvested. The persimmon is rich in sugar, protein, fiber and several minerals such calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, selenium. Modern medical research results have shown that persimmon fruit as well as its processed products have significant effects on improving human immune system, enhancing vascular permeability, preventing constipation, promoting digestion and IQ development and so on. Persimmon was list as one of the Ten Top healthy fruits and vegetables by WHO in 2004. The Research Institute of Subtropical Forestry has selected several new superior varieties such as Fuyu, Matsumotowase-fuyu, Yalin No 26 and No 36. The fruit is juicy and in high quality with average weight of 200-450 g per fruit. The tree begins to bear fruits after planted 2 3 years late, and is expected to produce 3.75 t / hm2 fruit after planted 5 years late, and 22.5 30 t / hm2 in full fruit period. The Non-astringeint persimmon is usually ripe from mid-September to mid-November. The Fresh fruit is well stored to May of the next year in cool condition. The fruit is not only consumed in most of larger cities in China, but also exported to Vietnam, Thailand, and Myanmar. Its nut is rich in starch, sugar, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. The nut tastes much sweet and waxy compared to chestnut (Castanea mollissima Blume), and has health care function for stomach, spleen, kidney, gluten, blood circulation and so on. The nut is quite often processed by baking, frying as well as cooking. Research Institute of Subtropical Forestry has collected 530 Castanea henryi germplasms and selected six new superior clone varieties named as Yalin No 1, 2, 7, 24, 25, and 26 in the last over 20 years. These new cultivars are widely adaptable, and sweet, delicious, well stored. The nut is usually ripe from early September to mid-late October with average weight of 10 to 25 g per nut. The tree begins to bear fruits after planted 23 years late, and is expected to produce 37507500kg/hm2 fresh nuts in full fruit period. Grafting techniques of buds to seedlings were created, and the large scale propagation system of clones was established. It is the middle mature variety and needs the accumulated temperature at around 2600. This hybrid has more yield than other hybrid of the same type. The potential yield can reach 25000 kg/ha and the quality is very good with high protein content (13.04%) and high density of volume (749g/L), reaching the one grade standard of “maize” and “livestock maize” of national standard. It is also high holistic resistant and dust-brand resistant which are the main diseases in north region. Seedling can break through the earth very easy and live pole is available when it reaches mature.
