Unit4 Then and now第1课时 教案Teaching contents 教学内容Story time Teaching aims and learning objectives 教学目标1. 能听懂、会读、会说e-book, mobile phone, newspaper, radio, telephone, e-friend, anywhere, could,并能运用于语句中。2. 能听懂、会读、会说日常用语could/could not 以及动词过去式的表达。3. 能正确地解并朗读对话内容,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。4. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和日常用语谈论过去和现在会做的事情。Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty 教学重点和难点教学重点:能正确理解并朗读对话内容,在教师的引导和帮助下复述课文内容。教学难点:could/could not 的正确理解和运用。Teaching procedures 教学过程Step1 Greeting and warming up1. GreetingT: Good afternoon, boys and girls. Im Miss Chen. Today Ill be your new English teacher. How are you?T:Oh, Im a little nervous .Because therere so many teachers here. Are you nervous?T: OK, never mind, lets warm up first.2. Make a chant Then and nowT:Lets play a chant game. Theres a chant, its about me. Im new here. I think you want to know more about me. Now I need your help to finish it. Do you know the meaning of the then here?(提示学生通过twenty years ago与now的对比猜测)T: Yes. Then and now is also the title of Unit 4. So today well learn Unit4 Then and now. Read together.【设计意图:通过对话与chant环节,将一般过去式和一般现在时初次对比呈现,复习两种时态表达的同时将本课的几个生词短语进行了预设,为新课的教学创造良好气氛,也为新知的学习做好铺垫。】Step2 Presentation1.Watch the cartoon and Talk about the peopleT: The paragraph is about the changes to some other people, who are they? Lets watch the cartoon and find the people. (1) Talk about the people now.T:Who are they?You can say:He/She is . (ppt出示)Yes , they re Mike and his family,his father Mr Brown,his grandpa , and his mother Mrs Brown.(板书,出示人物)(2) talk about the people then. T:And who were they then?You can tell me like this :He/She was. .years ago. Lets check(PPT出示) (板书出示人物)2. Learn the changes about Browns family(1)Read and fill in the blanksT:Lets read the story time again,and think about the changes to Browns family.Please take notes on the paper while youre reading. Lets read and fill in the blanks on the paper. OK, now lets read it.(2) Check the answerThe way: a) Talk about the changes in pairs b)report one by one c)readT: Have you finished? OK,now lets check . This time, lets say it in pairs. Just like Yang Ling and Su Yang. Choose one to say, and lets work in pairs. One will say the things in the past. One will say the things now. Understand? OK. Talk in pairs. Here we go.Talk about the changes about MikeT:Now, lets try to talk about them one by one. First, lets talk about Mike. Which pair would like to try? Which pair?(相机板书)T:Mikes grandpa listened to the radio and read newspapers for news,thirty years ago.but now, Mikes grandpa reads and watches news on the Internet. What else can we do on the Internet? (chat with my e-friends, do shopping, watch films,listen to the songs,watch TV programs, play games.)T:I like reading books. Do you like reading books. This is an e-book. There are many stories in it. I can download many books in it. Maybe one hundred books. I can take it anywhere. But I cant take one hundred books anywhere. Its too heavy. So the e-book is conviente for me. T: Read this paragraph now.Talk about the changes about Mrs BrownT: This time, lets talk about Mrs Brown. Read the story time after the tapeT: Boys and girls, lets read the story time again. This time lets read after the ppt, please try to imitate.2. Retell the story timeT: Now , lets retell the story time together. We can use the phrases on the blackboard.【设计意图:学生在之前自学、汇报等环节,已经对课文掌握较好,本环节通过看跟读课文,纠正学生的语音语调,学生全体根据板书复述课文,简化学生的任务,帮助学生再次巩固整个语篇。】Step4 Talk about the changes in our life1. Talk about the changes in our life.T:Today we learnt the changes about Mike and his family.Therere lots of changes in our life. Can you say somethings about the changes to you? Think it over. And you can make an outline first. (tips:你可以先列一个提纲,写下你想要谈论的变化的方面,以及过去及现在的变化。)2. Watch a video about the changes in our life.3.Use one word to describe the changesT: What do you think of the changes in our life? You can say it in English or Chinese. Technology and time change us a lot. Our life becomes fast, effective, convenient, easy and happy. Techology brings us to an e-time.T: Lets talk about it next class.【设计意图:课文复述之后用通过谈论自己生活中的变化来巩固整篇文章的语言点,教师指导学生先列提纲,后练说的方式,尽量让学生做到有条理的表达。最后通过观看生活变化的影片和谈论对生活变化的感受来总结升华本课。】Step5 Homework1.
