在于真空中、独立发展、自生自灭的系统，人们的言语表现形式无时不受存在于语 言之外的社会要素的制约。而文化社会学认为，文化涉及人类生活的各个方面，任 何人类社会都离不开文化，文化是人类社会赖以生存和发展的基础，语言只是构成 文化系统的要素之一。语言是文化的载体，而文化也影响着语言的各个层面。由语 言和文化相互交融的关系中，我们可以得出语言教学即是文化教学。那么在大学英 语教学中该如何开展文化教学? 本文作者就文化教学的本质，文化教学的重要性， 文化教学的原则，文化教学的策略和堇互以及文化教学是如何通过语言教学的各个 层面而得以体现等问题进行了探讨，力图为英语教学中的文化教学构建一个有效的 _ - _ _ _ - - - 一 模式。 本文共分六章。 第一章“引言”概述了本文的主要内容，简要介绍了本文的文章结构。 第二章阐述了文化教学的重要性。在这一章罩简要论述了语言和文化相互依存 的关系，指出语言教学的目的既不是单纯教语言，也不是纯粹教语言知识，而是在 教语言的同时教文化。本章同时指出，当语言教学的中心转移到既培养学生的语言 能力又培养他们的文化能力时，要注意根据不同的教学大纲有所侧重，防止将语言 内容摘要 v 教学和文化教学对半开。 第三章提出了大学英语教学中的文化教学原则。本章提出了在外语教学中除了 培养学生的听、说、读、写四会能力外，还必须使学生具备另外一种能力文化能 力。为了使学生获取文化能力，外语教学中的文化教学应该有明确的目标和指导实 现这些目标的教学原则。本章从以下四个方面阐述了外语教学中的文化教学原则： 1 对目标文化重在认识和了解的认知原则；2 吸收目标文化中有益成分的吸收原 则；3 注意比较、对照本土文化和目标文化的对比原则：4 摒弃文化歧视的宽容 原则。 第四章本章指出可以通过语言的各个层面进行文化教学。在词汇层面，可以通 过了解词汇，短语和谚语等的文化内涵来习得目标语言的文化；在句法层面，通过 特殊的句法结构去表现不同的文化策略；在语用层面，通过对语言失误和社交 语用失误的分析力图加强学生的文化意识；在篇章层面，对不同文化的篇章进行分 析，从而找出不同文化写作中的思维差异。 第五章本章介绍了文化教学的策略和技巧。在文化教学的策略这部分，着重介 绍了文化教学的目标和选题。在文化教学的技巧这部分，主要介绍了两种文化教学
