法律英语的长句 摘要 法律语言是法律的载体。法律英语是法律语言的一种，它是以英语为官方语 言的国家的法律语言。法律英语是以英语共同语为基础，在立法和司法等活动中 形成和使用的具有法律专业特点的语言。法律语言学属于应用语言学的范畴。 在法律英语中不仅有众多的具有法律专门意义的特殊词汇，而且由于规定人 们权利和义务的法律、法令或契约等法律文书所表达的内容必须准确、严密、客 观和规范，不容许丝毫的引申、推理或抒发和表达感情，因而在法律英语中又形 成了许多特有的句法特点。长句的大量运用是法律英语句法的最突出的特点。 随着对外开放的不断深入，社会主义市场经济的逐步完善，我国正在加快法 制化进程，这其中就必然要大量参考借鉴发达国家成熟的法律、法规。同时，为 了让世界更多的了解中国的法制建设，了解中国的政策、法规，进一步扩大引进 外资，促进中国经济的发展与繁荣，我国法律文本英译的重要性也日益突出。所 以，对于法律英语爱好者、学习法律英语的学生以及法律工作者来说，了解和研 究这些国家的法律语言的句法结构及其文体特征具有十分重要的意义。而且这些 特征在翻译过程中也必须得到充分的重视。 本文采用d a v i dc r y s t a l 和d e r e kd a v y 的分析框架对法律英语中的长句进 行文体描述，应用j l a u s t i n 和j o h nr s e a r l e 的言语行为理论以及其他法律 语言学的研究成果来进行分析。最后得出结论：法律英语长旬的形成是由于使用 了大量状语从句、定语从旬、平行并列结构等修饰成分。同时论文分析了如何翻 译法律文本，特别是法律英语中的长旬，希望对理解和翻译法律文本有所帮助， 对法律语言的研究有所启示。 关键词：法律英语，长句，文体分析，认知语用 l o n g
