Department of Electrical Engineering National Cheng Kung University In this thesis a Standby UPS system with AC voltage regulation function is designed The circuit control the contact points of the relays to be able to have the following function 1 Comparing with the adjustment method of the low frequency transformer of the conventional silicon steel it s benefited with light weight precision stable voltage adjustment and high efficiency The main manner is control series capacitor feedback voltage and then the inverter will have the automatic AC voltage regulation AVR function to supply the ability of regulating the stable output voltage 2 Using the same components only changing the input relays contact points from the utility source to contact together the inverter can transfer the back up battery system when the input utility source is failure Lastly in order to verify the proposed schemes a 600W prototype Standby UPS system with AC voltage regulator is implemented and the
