1 Describe the higher education you have received. Whats your attitude towards it.With the development of our country, the higher education system is also facing a new stage of development. Compared with the past, people have a greater chance to accept higher education. Since the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy, the gross enrollment ratio of higher education has reached to 20%. And the professional system keeps perfecting. It has got some achievements in structural reform, but there are some serious problems in higher education system. I think Chinas education system has the problem which only focus on students grades but not teach them how to behave in a right way, and also ignores the creativity of the students. Many college students in US have invented a lot of practical things, while in our country few college students have invented anything. Except this, the higher education also neglects the cultivation of the students practical ability. The college students only know the principles but dont know how to use. If only the higher education in china gives the students more time in practice, it will be an exciting event for many students.2 What is your favorite color? Why is it so impressive?I have visited many cities, but the city impressed me most is Suzhou. Suzhou is a city with more than 2000 years. In the city, you can feel its long history by the 1000 bridge on the river whose age is more than 1000 years and the gingko trees standing in the gardens. There is a proverb which is well known in china:” There is Paradise above and Suzhou Hangzhou below.” Suzhou is famous for its gardens, canals, silk, lakes, opera. The Suzhou classical gardens are UNESCO World Heritage listed and are the reason why the city has become one of the most revered cities in China. The characteristic of Suzhou gardens is that no matter where the visitors standing there is always a perfect picture. Suzhou is a city on the water. There are many rivers across the city which makes you think about the peom:” The beautiful scenery of little bridge, running water and cute house.” And Suzhou is also renowned for its colourful culture. It has Kunqu, also called Kun Opera, one of the oldest forms of Chinese Operas. You can sit in the stone-chair, drink a cup of tee, listening the kun opera. I love the old streets most, there are many Characteristic shop selling silk and cheongsam. In short, Suzhou is very romantic city.5 Compare your time with your parents. What are the same and what has been changed since then. There are three main differences between our time and our parents. The first is the difference between foods. Before the reform and opening-up policy, food scarcity is big problem bothering lots of families. Many foods are distributed according to the number of people. In those days, many people suffered with hunger and deficiency of nutrition. But after the policy, all the people in China have solved the problem of food deficiency. Nowadays, the people pay more attention on the safety of food and the nutrition of food. The second is the difference between the clothes. In our parents time, because of the low level of economic, people should use the tickets to buy cloth making clothes. And the style along with the color of clothes is monotonous. With the development of economic, today the clothes are very colorful. The clothes become a way to show the peoples character. The third difference is the way to travel. In the past, the most popular way people choose is on walk. While now, our nations traffic condition has improved obviously. Roads become more and more wide, the speed become faster and faster, and almost every family have a car.The similarity of our parents and our time is that we are all leaded by the communist party of China.6 What is brain drain? What are the causes and effects of it?Brain drain is a buzzword that describes the departure or emigration of individuals withtechnical skills or knowledge. There are three causes. The first is the salary. Many individuals with technical skills can get a very high salary in foreign countries, but in China, they may not get the salary as high as in other countries. The second is ways of management. In China, all the people have to obey the boss, while abroad the relationship between boss and stuff is equal. The last is the chance to be promoted. It is very hard to get promoted in many state-owned enterprises, but maybe it is easier in USA where most things depend on yourself. There are many effects caused by Brain drain. To the country that many individuals go abroad, it is a great loss. It can weaken the potential of the development in the country, and then cause the speed of economic growth going down. Becides, it can also lead to the imbalance between the structure of people and society. Because the individuals with knowledge are full of vitality and energy. They are the pillar of the country.7 Tell me why you prefer a special book, music, sports or film.Nowadays, there are a great deal of pressure and brothering things. And when I come across these things, I would like to do some sports to relieve. The sports I like most is yoga. Yoga practice contains the central ideas that physical posture and alignment can influence a persons mood and self-esteem, and also that the mind can be used to shape and heal the body. Yoga can provide the same benefits as any well-designed exercise program, increasing general health and staminastmn持久力, reducing stress, and improving those conditions brought about by sedentary stmn lifestyles. Yoga has the added advantage of being a low-impact activity that uses only gravity as resistance. Certain yoga postures can be safely used to strengthen and balance all parts of the body.8 Is there any school pressure on children in China? What can be done to relieve it?Yes, there is. Nowadays there are more and more pupils who committed suicide because of too much homework they cannot finished on time. So we can see the school pressure on children in China. The Chinese always value the academic performance. And scores on courses are the way to measure the students academic performance. Scores students got are also a way to evaluate a school is good or not. Schools want to make more students enrolled so they can make more money and the parents who want their child to be something would like to send their child to these schools. Schools have to urge the students to study hard, and compare the students, rank the students, leave lots of homework. I think the best way to relieve the pressure is education reform. But education reform may be a long way to go in China. And the parents should not overemphasize the scores of children. There are many things more important than academic performance such as how to behave and how to care things around them. I think that the quality of teachers need to improve. If the teacher compare the children less and give them more praise, then the pressure on the children can relieve to some extant.9 Whats the difference between dreaming dreams and realizing dreams?Dreaming dreams mean the dream is beyond your ability and even though you have tried your best to do it , you may never realize it or you have a dream but you never try to get it. But the realizing dreams has a clear goal, you can make your plan according to the goal. And realizing dreams is practical, it is in your ability. If you try your best, you can reach the goal, realizing the dream.10 Describe your hometown. Is there anything special about it?My hometown is the in the city of Yantai located in Shandong province. Yantai City lies in the no
