封面Carbon footprint: Concrete methodology 碳足迹:混凝土碳排放测量方法OUR COMMITMENTSustainable development is an important part of *s strategy, as evidenced by our commitment to controlling and reducing our impact on the environment.Conscious of the effect that greenhouse gas emissions from our production processes have on the environment, * decided in 2000 to be one of the founding members of the “Cement Sustainability Initiative” (CSI) of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). Further strengthening its commitment, in 2010 * decided to measure the full impact of its emissions through an innovative carbon footprint measurement tool.As aggregates, cement, and concrete are key materials to the development of society, we considered it essential to make an effort to measure the carbon footprint of each of these three products. Perform a benchmark of facilities within the company with the goal of continually reducing our CO2 footprint. Communicate to our stakeholders quantitative data on the carbon footprint of our products. This footprint will also allow our customers to obtain the footprint of * products to be used on their specific projects. 我们的目标*开发碳足迹测量方法,其目标如下: 对我们在产品生产中排放的二氧化碳等量气体进行量化,以帮助降低排放数量。 以持续减少碳足迹排放为目标,将碳排放作为*各工厂的基准。 向我们的利益相关者提供*各产品的碳足迹数据。该数据也可让我们的客户获取用于他们各个项目的*产品的碳排放。WHAT IS THE CARBON FOOTPRINT?Carbon Footprint measures the amount of CO2 and equivalent emissions directly or indirectly generated during the entire production process up to the door of * plants (“cradle to gate“approach); i.e. taking into account all phases of production from the extraction of raw materials from natural resources (“cradle”) and their transporting, processing and packaging (if necessary) until the moment the product leaves the premises of * (“gate”).WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KNOW IT?Knowing the carbon footprint of our products reveal the extent to which we are contributing to climate change and is the first step in reducing our emissions of CO2 to the atmosphere.As an additional benefit, it allows us to inform our customers about the greenhouse gases environmental impact of the products they use, and helps them calculate the carbon footprint of their projects. This knowledge is becoming increasingly important in todays carbon-conscious society.什么是碳足迹?碳足迹测量的是*各工厂直到出厂门(从“摇篮”到“大门”方法)的整个生产过程中所直接或间接产生的二氧化碳及其等价排放气体的数量,也就是说,充分考虑生产中的每个阶段,从自然资源中提取原材料(“摇篮”)到运送,再到加工与包装(如果有必要)直到产品离开*场所(“大门”)。为什么了解碳足迹很重要?了解*产品的碳足迹,就能够了解我们对气候变化做了哪些贡献,碳足迹也是*减少二氧化碳排放的第一步。同时,通过对碳足迹的了解,我们可以告诉客户其使用产品的温室气体排放对环境的影响,帮助他们计算其工程的碳足迹。碳足迹知识在现今碳意识强烈的社会中变得越来越重要HOW HAS * CALCULATED ITS CARBON FOOTPRINT?The methodology is based on the ISO 14040:2006 standard for products “Life Cycle Assessment” and the PAS 2050:2008 standard “Specification for the Assessment of the Life Cycle Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Goods and Services” as well as in “draft” versions of the ISO 14067 “Carbon Footprint of products” and WBCSD / GHG protocol “Product Life Cycle Accounting and Reporting Standard.”The methodology has been tested in 9 * plants across several continents by the certification company Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The tool has been implemented in 629 centers of production of cement, aggregates and concrete in the world, corresponding to 58% of total production for *.
