中文摘要 随着英语在世界各地的蔓延及跨文化交际的日益频繁 锄天盖地的西方文化与意识 形态充斥于世界各地 并以其压倒性的优势侵犯他国文化 潜移默化地影响并改变着人 们的生活态度 信仰与价值观 学者们称之为 文化帝国主义 本文结合中国英语文化教学现状 将对 文化帝国主义 理论的理艉与分析整合进 教学实践中 提出 个新的教学概念 文化张力 一方面 英语教学是培养在不 同文化背景中进行交际的人才 在全球化背景下 外语教学必须加强文化导入 发展文 化移倩 另一方面 随着文化帝国主义的入侵 越来越多的中国学生崇尚西方文化价值 放弃本国文化归属 于是 在英语教学中 二者之问形成一种矛盾 对立 紧张的张力 关系 即发展文化移情与抵制文化帝国主义形成一种文化张力 不动之动 是对其最 直接的描述 不动中有动的倾向 是处于紧张状态中的静止 一旦一个方向上的力过大 即过于发展文化移情 形成文化的过分适应或是过于抵制文化帝国主义 形成偏见 定 势 民族中心主义 动态的平衡态就被打破 张力效果也随之消失 并随之造成文化教 学的失败 同时 没有双方力的静止 仅仅是不动 不存在紧张状态 也无从谈起张力 的存在 因此 怎样找到一个恰当的张力度 使教学中文化移情的信息含量和学生对文 化帝国主义自觉抵制的感受量都达到最大化 这就是文化张力对外语教学的需求所在 结合上述观点及其理论依据 本文通过调查问卷的实证研究 验证了 中国学生对 西方文化的接受程度 中国教师与学生对培养文化移情能力的态度 中国学生对本 国传统文化的关注 及其 抵制文化帝国主义的意识 由此证实了英语教学中文化张 力不平衡的现状及平衡文化张力的必要性 以此为由 论文结合 文化张力 理论 提出了实施英语文化教学的几点建议 1 坚持文化移情的适度原则 2 发展学生 隐性路径 的文化学习 3 培养学生的多 元文化意识
