While-reading activities: text structure analysisStudents work in group to divide the whole passage into several major parts and summarize the main idea of each part.The text should be divided into three major parts:Part I: Para. 1 Main idea: It serves as the background of the storyPart II: Pare 2-30 Main idea: It tells us a conversation between the two leading characters, Margie and Tommy, running through most of it.Part III: Para. 31-35Main idea: It tells us something about the schoolroom, the mechanical teacher, and Margies thoughts.
