Lesson3 What Subject Do You Like Best?教材分析:本课为English This Way, Book 9, Unit1, Lesson 3. Lets talk部分.主要教学内容是讨论大家最喜欢的科目及其原因的表述。本节课紧扣生活实际,学生喜闻乐见并且易于表达。本单元教学的内容是之前学过关于科目的相关知识的拓展和延伸,在经过前面有关科目的学习后,学生将学习更多的关于科目及形容科目的词汇和句型,并能在一定的情境中进行运用。学情分析:学生来自五年级,已经有两年多学习英语的经验积累,学生有了一定的词汇量基础,有了一定的学习热情,掌握一定的学习方法。在本单元lesson2的学习中,学生掌握了相关科目的单词,以及形容科目的词汇。一、教学目标:知识目标:1.能听懂、会说有关学科及形容学科的词汇,掌握发音及拼读规则。English,Chinese, maths, art, music, science, P.E, computer,easy, hard, interesting, important, useful, useless, boring。2.能运用句型表达喜欢或者不喜欢某种科目及其原因。What subject do you like best? Because its.技能目标:1.能够听懂会说本单元的句型,能灵活运用功能句谈论喜欢的科目。2.制作一份关于学科的调查报告并汇报。情感目标:A通过任务活动,学生小组合作学习的能力得以提高。B通过本节课的学习学生树立良好学习态度,明白各学科重要性。C学生在英语学习中有一定的成就感,保持英语学习的持续兴趣。二、教学重、难点教学重点:重点掌握句型:Why do you like .?及其回答.表达自己喜欢某科目及喜欢的原因。I like. Because its.教学难点:1.把握interesting,important, because的发音,掌握一定的拼读规则。 2.能运用所学句型进行问答,询问别人并表达自己的喜好及原因。三、教学辅助1准备本课时的单词卡及其他已学科目的单词卡片。2准备调查表及课件。四、教学过程Step 1. Warm-up and previewT: Good morning, boys and girls.I am Miss Yang.Ss: Good morning Miss Yang.T: Nice to meet you.Ss: Nice to meet you, too.(与学生握手问候,消除距离感,为本节课的开展做好铺垫。)T: Now, lets play a game- “Magic Eyes”. Look at the screen; say the words as quickly as you can. Are you ready? (Yes)T: Lets go.T:Now please listen to Miss Yang and numer these pictures.Then the teacher check the answers.【设计意图】大屏幕中依次闪出几组科目的图片,学生看到图片后快速说出英文单词,先闪现一张图片,后两张,三张逐步增加难度。复习形容词汇时听音排序,让学生通过游戏的环节快速在脑海中复现已经积累的有关本节课所需要的科目词汇,既能激发学生的兴趣,提高注意力,也为本课的学习做好词汇上的铺垫。T:What day is it today?Ss:Its Tuesday.T:Yes.Here is a schedule on Tuesday. You ask me.Ss: What subject do you like best?T: I like computer best.T:Today we are going to make a survey about the popular subjects in our class and the reasons.【设计意图】利用课表复习学过的科目,与学生讨论班级课表中的科目,询问学生是否喜欢。通过这个活动了解学生对于科目的真实感受,引入对学科的喜好表达及本课任务。同时操练本节课的句型。 Step 2. Presentation and practiceT: First, please listen to a dialogue between Tingting and Lele. They are talking about their favorite subject. (将头像贴于黑板上) Lets listen and answer: (老师板书What subject do you like best?贴句型于Tingting对话中)T:Girls,follow me. What subject do you like best? You ask lele(boys).Tingting(girls):What subject do you like best,lele ? Lele(boys): I like music best.(老师板书I like music best. 贴句型于lele对话中)T:Why ? How does Tingting ask Lele?(教师板书出人物对话的图形,在Tingting对话的图形中打一个问号。选词填空)Girl1: Why do you like music best? A.What B.Where C.Why ( 贴句型于Tingting对话中.老师教读新词Why,释义,自然拼读法。)Ss : Read the sentence one by one-group by group-together.Listen again then circle the answers. A. Because its interesting. (教师贴句型于lele对话图形后。教读Because,猜测词义,释义,自然拼读法)B. Because its important. C. Because its easy. T: Ok, lets read and imitate. Pay attention to your pronunciation and intonation.Ss: Read the sentence one by one-group by group -together.T:Pay attention to these words: interesting, important, because.Listen to the dialogue and read together.Role play:Act out the dialogue.(boys vs girls)【设计意图】通过板书贴出两个人物头像对话框,让学生感受人物对话。之后通过几个问题层层递进加深学生对于对话文本的理解。快速进入课文中的情景,通过问题的问答,使学生整体感知和了解文本的意思。听读后进行角色朗读,调动学生情绪,注意训练学生标准的语音、语调。根据学生的跟读情况进行拼读指导,掌握why和because的意义和用法。Step 3Consolidation and extensionT:What subject does Miss Yang like? (抢答,记忆力检测)S1:Computer.T:Yes.You are clever.But why do I like computer? You ask me.Ss:Why do you like computer, Miss Yang?T: Look at the screen,quick response.(抢答 )read together.T: Talk about the subjects in pairs with the sentence patterns on Bb.Ss: Show the dialogue. (2-3组)【设计意图】通过记忆检测巩固句型,通过师生对老师的喜欢科目进行问答引出两人操练环节,学生更容易掌握句型的结构及用法。说中练,练中学,为下一步小组活动任务做铺垫。Step 4. Task / ActivityT: Lets make a survey now. We are going to choose the most popular subject in our class. Work in groups of 4. The group leader makes a survey and fill he chart. You have 3 minutes. Go.Name Miss YangWhatcomputerWhyinterestingT: I like computer best. The teacher count and write the result on Bb. 【设计意图】小组长调查完成表格信息,小组发言人汇报本组情况。老师可先示范一组。 然后老师将四个组的调查结果标注到黑板上,划“正”。评选出最受学生欢迎的科目。教师根据调查结果自然的进行学科重要性的教育:T: Many students like P.E. Because its easy. When you go to America or England, you need to speak English to communicate with them.
