This unit aim to teach new words of color and its usage. As a result of the content is close to our daily life, it is easy to enforce students basic knowledge. This class is the first class hour of this unit. Its about words and new conversation structure. The key points: Learning the conversations about what color is it and the words. The difficult points: The usage of color and the grammarPart 2 Teaching Aims(The Teaching Aims is established according to Junior School English Syllabus Provision)Knowledge Targets:u Identify different color and know its expression and meanings.u Master new words, phrases and structures proficiently.u Know how to talk about color. Ability Targets:u Improve the abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.u Learn the conversation about what color is it Emotional Targets:u To love English and learn it in passion.u To Find the beauty in our daily lifeu To enjoy the fantastic things around us.Part 3 Teaching Object The students are Grade 7. They are new to Junior School and they have lessons less than 1 month. Although they know a few words, it is still difficult for them to remember new words. So teachers should use some methods to help them master the knowledge quickly. As we all know, they have much curious about every interesting thing at this period. They are active, so we teachers must make the class attractive to make students have high passion to learn English.Part 4 Teaching MethodsOwing to this class is to teach words and sentence structure, Ill follow the principle of Taskbased language teaching and free teaching. In order to have a good result, Ill use CAI and pair work.(the tool can be pictures, tape, video, dialogue and so on)Part 5 Teaching procedures Step 1: Leading in class by asking students what color is it in Chinese when I point at one object. The object can be anything in the classroom. This step is to attractive students attention to what we are going to learn. Step 2:ask students to turn to page 13, and then draw attention to the pictures and listen:Discuss the color of pictures and conversation; Play the tape the first time, students only listen; Play the tape the second time, students repeat the conversation.This step is to introduce the words of color and to improve students ability of listening. Step3:Look at pictures and ask students to repeat the new words and match the words with color. Step 4: Present different pictures of different color on PPT one by one to let students identify. Step 5:Teach and then let students practice the dialogue in pairs. Step 6: Listen to a songcolor song Step 7:HomeworkPart 6 Teaching FeedbackIn order to improve students abilities of listening, reading, speaking and writing, students must do much practice in class and after class.
