Respected Dr. Mao, Mr. Qian, beloved American fellow teachers, ladies and gentlemen:Im greatly honored to be here on behalf of all the Chinese teachers of this Summer Camp to address the closing ceremony.尊敬的毛博士、钱校长，亲爱的美国同仁们，女士们，先生们：十分荣幸能作为本次夏令营的老师代表在此发言。With the help and support of everybody here, the 2012 Sino-US Summer Camp is coming to an end. So today tonight at this very moment, Id like to give my thanks, congratulations and best wishes to you all. 在各位的帮助和支持下，2012年中美夏令营即将闭营。所以，今天，今晚，此时此刻，我想给大家送上我的感激、祝贺和祝福。Thank you, beloved American teachers, for your patience, devotion and perseverance. You left your family, flew across the Pacific, landed in China, and taught at this school. You sacrificed a lot, but materially got nothing. You all worked crowdedly in the small workroom but you worked out the terrific teaching plans and fabulous interactive activity arrangements. You have no textbooks, which means, on the one hand, you can teach whatever you want, but on the other hand, you have to reach your students, you have to find the information gap, you have to teach what they are interested in but still not clear about. To accomplish all these is no easy work, but you made it! You made it with your patience, your devotion your perseverance and, foremost, your professional teaching wits. Thank you again! 谢谢你们，美国的同仁们。 谢谢你们的耐心，奉献和坚持。你们离开家乡，远渡重洋，来到中国，来到了这所学校。你们做出了很多牺牲，但在物质上并没有收获太多。你们工作室虽小而拥挤，但你们却在那里设计出了极好的教案和极妙的互动活动。你们没有教材，这一方面意味着你们可以教授任何你想教得东西，同时，另一方面也要求你们必须了解学生，必须找出信息差，必须教授那些他们想知而未知的东西。去完成这一切并非易事，但是你们做到了！你们凭自己的耐心、自己的奉献、自己的坚持和自己专业的教学机智做到了这一切。再次感谢你们！Thank you, my dear students, for your attendance, for your cooperation and for your motivation to learn. Not every student would like to abandon the summer holiday and stay at school to be regulated and disciplined when they could have stayed at home, wandered in the street, or played their favorite games, but you resisted all these temptations and joined the camp without hesitation. Thank you, my dear students, for your active involvement in all the classes and activities, for your encouraging cooperation with all the teachers and your group members, which guaranteed the efficiency and positive effect of each class and each activity, and left a long and lasting impression on all the teachers present here. 谢谢你们，亲爱的同学们。谢谢你们的参与，谢谢你们的合作，谢谢你们不竭的学习动力。不是每一个学生都愿意放弃他们的假期休息时间，来到学校接受规矩与纪律的约束的，因为他们本来是可以呆在家，可以去逛街，可以去打游戏的。但是你们不同！你们抵制了这些诱惑，你们毫不犹豫地加入了夏令营。谢谢你们，同学们。谢谢你们积极参与所有的课堂和各种课外的活动，谢谢你们与老师和同学们的积极合作，令人欢欣鼓舞。你们所做的一切保证了我们课堂和活动的效率和积极影响，同时也给我们老师留下了持久而深刻的印象。Today, I also want to congratulate you on your accomplishments. To our American friends, Id like to congratulate on your successful completion of this two-week teaching program. I dont know how many times you have been to China, but this time it is destined to be different. Chines students, Chinese teachers, Chinese schools, Chinese food are no longer what you see in movies, what you read in books, what you hear in gossips. This time you see with your own eyes, you taste with your tongues, you feel with your heart, you think with your mind, you talk with your experience. Things are totally different now! Your teaching experience in China must be precious and unique, which helps you gain a better insight of this country and her students, enriches your life of teaching English to non-English speakers as a foreign language, sth. that you may not do in America.今天，我还想祝贺大家所取得的成就。美国的朋友们 ，我想祝贺你们顺利完成了这两周的教学项目。我不知道之前大家来过几次中国，但这次我想一定是不同的。中国学生，中国老师，中国学校，中国食物等等这一切不再是在电影里所看到的东西，不再是在书本上所读到的东西，不再是在闲聊中所听到的东西。这一次，你们用自己的眼睛看，用自己的舌头尝，用自己的心感受，用自己的思维思考，用自己的亲身经历谈话。如今一切都不同了！我想，你们在中国的教学经历是珍贵的，独特地。因为他帮助你们更深刻地体会这个国家和他的学生，丰富你们的教学经历-教授非英语国家的人们学习英语，可能是一件你们在美国也不曾做过的事情。To our students , Id like to congratulate on your fruitful and happy start of this summer holiday. During this two-week summer camp, you practiced your English, signed up for optional courses, participated in many activities, you made new friends, you learned new things, you relaxed, and you harvested. The beginning of your summer holiday has been proved a big success and the rest of the holiday will definitely continue to be rewarding and unforgettable.同学们，我想祝贺你们，因为你们的这个暑假已经有了个快乐而又硕果累累的开端。在这两周的夏令营期间，你们练习了英语，选报了选修课，参与了各种活动课；你们结识了新朋友，学习了新事物；你们身心得到了放松，同时也有了巨大的收获。这个暑假的开端已经证明是成功的，剩余的假期也一定是难忘的，有价值的。Ladies and gentlemen, I still remember, encouraged and passionate, we announced the opening of the camp, but now comes the time to announce the close of it. Today I feel reluctant and depressed to say good-bye to you all. However, I feel blessed to have this opportunity to be on floor to send you my best wishes. 女生们， 先生们，我仍然记得，那天我们欢欣鼓舞、激情满怀地宣告了夏令营的开幕。但今天宣告本次夏令营闭营的时间又来临了。今天我十分不舍、十分难过地和各位道别。但我很庆幸有这样个发言的机会，以便给大家送上我最好的祝福。Dear American friends, wish you a nice stay in China, a thrilling trip across the country and a safe journey back home to the United States.
