4 TornadoTeaching aims:Knowledge Objective:Students can master some new words, and learn the information of nature disaster. Ability Objective:1. Students can talk about natural disasters. 2. Ss can develop their reading skills by practicing skimming, scamming, summarizing and finding out details.Emotional Objective:Students know what should they do when a tornado occurs.Teaching important points:1. Fast ReadingAsk Ss to read the passage quickly, and find the topic sentences in each paragraph.( Give structure of how to find the topic sentences, then check the answer.)B. Detail reading Listen to the video and read the passage carefully, each group takes charge of answering 2 questions in Exercise 2.( Give structure of how to find the details in a passage, then check the answer.)4.post-Reading :discussion and presentation :Suppose a tornado happens now, what should we do to keep ourselves safe? (Each group gives at least 3 advices.)5. Summary and assignment Search the Internet to find more information about natural disaster.
