Teaching Plan9月5日 Title NSE Book 9 Module 1 Unit 1 There wasnt a pond. Aims i.Get students to grasp a new dialogue and some new words ii.Consoliating simple past tense and the usage of “ There was There were ” Focus i.let students grasp the 4-skill words: year before duck playground ii.Help students grasp the key sentences: There wasnt a pond here before. There werent any swings here before. iii.Enable students to use the drills fluently and correctly. Aids some cards tape recorder stickers ect. Teaching Process Teachers Activity I.Warming up and Revision 1、Greeting 2、Organize pupils to say the chant in book 8 3、Sing a song II.Leading-in 1、Show the pictures of the dialogue 2、Say something about the picture in Chinese. 3、Sam ,lingling and Amy are in the park now.Its a beautiful park in London.Lets go and see it. Ok now lets learn the dialogue. III.Listening & Reading Activities 1、Play the tape. 2、Play the tape. 3、Put the new words on the blackboard, drill the words. 4、Play the tape. 5、Give them some questions: How long were they in China? Does the park look different now?Why? Can they feed the ducks before?Why? 6、Practise the difficulty sentences . IV.Further Development 1、Give them 2 minutes to practise the dialogue in groups. 2、Check the students. 3、Ask them look at Exercise 3 ,then work with a partner. 4、Check the students. 5、Have a test. V.Homework 1、Read and act the dialogue after class. 2、Copy the new words four times. They are scary , scare , festival , mask , Halloween. Focus The above new words are the difficult points for students ,so more exercises should be give to students . T:Ask students to listen and repeat the dialogue again, then translate the Key sentence then answer the questions which have been given before about the dialogue. T: ask the students to look at the five pictures on SB Unit1 exercise 2. listen and repeat the dialogue for the third time then number those pictures. IV. Further Development T:Ask students to state the dialogue with the five pictures given on SB Unit1 exercise 2. T:So stusents a form with questions to do a comparision between Halloween and Chiristmas,ask them to discuss in pairs then fill out the form . V. Homework I.Ask students to draw a scary mask and make a suit of halloween costume by themselves ,then dress them up and introduce Halloween to your friends and families. II.Do the pre-study of Module3 Unit2 ,search information about Easter day. Students Activity S: fine. S4:On Spring Festival S: Guess the meaning of scary. S: some students may say “Halloween”. SS: listen to the dialogue among Amy ,Sam and lingling. S: listen to the introduction. Then say what theyve searched on the various mediums about Halloween.
