七招制胜四级听力 1 擒贼擒王-but，出现频率最高，考点最多，同类词还有however, actually, in fact. 此类词的出现一般是语气和语义上的转折（sorry 后面的but 表示较弱的解释意义不表转折），往往是重要信息点，也就是考点，答案往往也出现在这些词的后面。以下仅以最近四次的真题为例，用红色标示：2010.6 11. W: Just imagine! We have to finish reading 300 pages before Monday! D) He has proved to be a better reader than the woman. 本题中M的回答yeah只是弱弱地应了一下W的抱怨（how can 一句无疑而问），but 转折开始说自己遇到的麻烦，but 是个重要的提示词（cue word）和后面的信息词（informative word）trouble一起构成提示信息，考生听到此处需要高度重视后面的信息，that后面的内容比较简单，一般能听懂。所以在本题中能够听出锁定答案的but 和 trouble至关重要。在选择答案的时候，B选项中的 get access to 和 assign 有一定难度，均出自新视野大学英语第一册第一单元。由此可见每课后面的重点单词必须掌握。 16. D) The interview didnt go as well as he expected. 本题难在M的回答太长，考生很难完全听懂，但只要掌握了but 提示规律，选出答案不是很难。小结：but 一般情况下都不会重读，不容易注意到。它是说话者表达重要内容的一个常用提示词，需要考生在平时练习听力的时候特别注意，注意这个词的使用语境和发音方式。But 后面的信息词是重读的，在练习时要学会找出这个信息词，因为它是but后面句子的句意重心。2 攻其要害-个人意见的陈述，提示词为 you know, tell you what，I think, I guess，it seems that, 偶尔也出现I doubt，此类词后面表示说话者意见或陈述事实，或提出质疑，一般设计为考点。最近四次考试这类题出现很多，下面例题中用蓝色标示。2010.06 12. D) she shouldnt have read his notes without his knowing it. 本题跟上题类似，M的问句委婉提出建议。小结：问句是重要信息，是可以直接判断答案的部分，speaker 2的问句信息价值更大。 4 避敌锐气-虚拟语气，虚拟语气在最近几次的四级考试中出现的不多，早期的四级出现频率较高。说话者一般用虚拟语气来表示懊悔，惊讶，或委婉劝说（本部分我把I thought，I expected，I was wondering，I had no idea以及If 从句也包括在内），是说话者着重强调的内容，当然是判断答案的重要信息点。在后面例题中用淡紫色标示。2010 06 15. A) The man regrets being absent-minded.B) The woman saved the man some trouble.C) The man placed the reading list on a desk.D) The woman emptied the waste paper basket.I thought 和后面的Thats why 一起表示出说话者“我早知道，早料到，早想到”的事前诸葛的语气，答案当然藏在其中。类似的词还有 “I knew”小结：虚拟语气越来越少考到，但只要在对话中出现则必是答案所出。这里把那几组词也放到里面，是想提醒大家注意说话者的语气。这里讨论的语气还是有迹可循的，比较容易。而无迹可循的语气就有难度了，后记中细说。（B）5 击其必救-情态动词，can，would，could，might 等词也是表示说话者的某种语气，尤其后面加上表示否定的词not，never，hardly等，则更是说话者语意的重点，一般设计为考点。类似的词还有have to（包括has to 和had to），ought to.201006 17.
