I tend to think about all the care and concern they showered on me in the past, and then I will try my best to make up with them by all means. Listening Skills1I think many people prefer to find a job that they really like. After all, most people want to enjoy themselves rather than have plenty of money without a sense of achievement and happiness. On the other hand, some people may choose a well-paid job instead of a job close to their heart out of financial considerations. If one is in serious financial difficulty, one can hardly afford the luxury of a dream job2I think it is. Although many employers lay emphasis on candidates educational background and work experience, some believe that candidates character is equally important for a successful career. III. Generally speaking, I prefer to work for a large company because it often has a good reputation, is less likely to go bankrupt, ensures you a fairly stable job, and sometimes gives you a good salary. But I may not say no to a small company if I can assume more responsibilities, have more opportunities for career development and promotion, or receive a higher salary.VI. Furthering Listening and SpeakingIn a role-play the company recruiters can look at the candidates abilities and potential. To prepare for such a role-play, basically I can do two things. To begin with, I will make a list of the tasks required by the job as well as a list of the things I can say and do in order to demonstrate my customer service ability. Moreover, I can ask friends and family members to take part in a role-play with me so that I can become familiar with the situation and find out my problems. I can also video tape the role-play to further identify problems and make improvement.VII. Exercise: Students are required to do some listeningandspeakingtraininginclass.The interviewer must make the interviewee feel at ease because otherwise he or she might end up in hiring someone who is completely wrong for the business. I might do the following to make myself less nervous in an interview:1. Talk about looking for a job;2. Give tips for a job interview;3. Understand and talk about employment;4.
