(Mount Qomolangma is the highest mountain in the world (8,848m) ,in the Himalayas between Nepal and Tibet .It was explored by many climbers .The top was first reached by Edmund Hillory and Tenzing Norgay on May 29, 1953. )2.Show a picture of George Mallory and tell the Ss sth about him. .Skimming1.Let the Ss skim the text for the main idea: (A story about George Mallory and some other peoples climb of Mount Qomolangma.)2.Find out the topic sentence in each paragraph.
