Leading in :talking about the differences between developing countries and developed countriesT: This period we are going to learn module 2 : Developing and Developed Countries . Can you list the names of some developed countries in Europe?S: Yes. United Kingdom, Greece, France , Italy, Spain ,Portugal and so on.T: Can you list the names of some developing countries in other continents?S: China, North Korea, India, Cambodia, Burma ,Cuba, Laos. VietnamT:What is the difference between developing countries and developed countries? Generally speaking; developing countries means poor countries and developed countries means rich countries. They are quite different in every aspect such as food, clothing, housing ,education, medical care ,family size and so on. S: (as follows)1) In a developed country, most families have a television but in a developing country, televisions are much rarer.2) In a developed country, people have nice clothes to wear, but in a developing country people have few clothes.3) In a developed country, most people have a home, but in a developing country many people are homeless.4) In a developed country, people can enjoy good medical care, but in a developing country, many people have no money for medical care when they get diseases.5) In a developed country, people have small families, but in a developing country, the families are larger, that is to say; they have more children.6) In a developed country people can receive a good education, but in a developing country, many children have no money to have an education up to 11 years old. They often have to drop out of school.T: Most developed countries are mainly in Europe and most developing countries are mainly in Africa and Asia. Open your books and turn to page 11.
