Why have you decided to pursue management studies in France ?First of all, working as a TV producer, my dream is to establish a multinational film and TV show making company. But as for the moment, I only have knowledge and experience about TV producing. In order to run a company, I still lack the skills for management, so I would like to further my study in business and management.Secondly, from my understanding of the TV and film industry, with the globalization of economy and culture, more and more connection will be made between Chinese and foreign companies. And the trend is happening: just recently, one of the biggest real estate company and also the biggest cinema chain owner WANDA group has acquired a major share of Americans second largest cinema chain, which means not only more and more foreign films are being introduced into Chinese, Chinese people are beginning to explore the oversea market. In order to take full benefit of such trend, I need to understand the real foreign industry and studying abroad will provide me with a perfect opportunity to achieve that.The reason to choose France is because France is really very advanced in terms of cultural industry especially the film making industry. For the moment, France can be considered the only country that does not kneel in front of the influence of American Hollywood. I have been seeing French movies during my study, and the deep cultural atmosphere impressed me a lot. As my goal is to become a producer with international background and also establish my own company, choosing this specialization with be the corner stone. Also, ESC Dijon is a very old business school with over 100 years of history and the city of Dijon also has a long history, it is more traditional and classic which will provide me with more opportunity to experience the real French life style.What are your strong and weak points ?Firstly, the internship and working experience in the TV station and cultural communication company really makes me more experienced and mature comparing to other students. During the work I not only practiced my professional skills such as choosing topic, interviewing, editing and etc. but also learnt a lot soft skills such as communication skill and how to work in a team. To be a producer, one has to work with a team and as the leader of such team, how to communicate with and lead other teammates are very crucial. During my work, I always get along with my colleges and always am able to find new ideas to explore.I learn things very fast and I can adapt to new environment pretty easily. Also, I am good at learning foreign language. I can speak quite well English and Japanese, and I am now learning French and Spanish. At that time, I was assisting the producer making a TV show. I was involved in the whole process from choosing the topic, filming, copy writing and editing. During this half year experience I have gain a lot of information about how the TV industry operates and practiced my skills learnt in the university.Also, while studying in the university, I have worked part-time in Starbucks for a year. It was a fruitful experience because I can communicate with all kinds of people and got to know the society. Now in Shanghai, the government created a company with “Dreamworks” in order to promote the cultural industry and attract foreign investment into Shanghai to create companies that work for large multinational film makers.
