(東華)暢談實用教室用語 ( 師德教學叢書)國小英語教師練習手冊(修訂版), 陳淳麗, ( 師德教學叢書)國民中小學英語教學及評量模式研究, 施玉惠等 (教育部委託專題研究計劃報告)英語教學魔法書系列( 師德教學叢書)美國節慶教學 ( 師德教學叢書)創意英語故事教學( 師德教學叢書) Excerpts form English Textbooks, newspapers, magazines and various other sources. 教學目的:This course aims to offer the senior students an opportunity to apply what they have learned in the previous TESOL Methodology course in terms of English language teaching approach, techniques, and activity design into practice teaching. The course content includes class observation (on videos, peer classmates, elementary or junior high schools in the local area), simulated teaching, field trip, and practice teaching in an elementary school (in the second semester, if possible). This course will be conducted on the basis of cooperative learning model. Through the practice of the Reflective Model and the Collaborative Learning Approach, the trainee student teachers work together while they fulfill reflection practice in the teaching training course. The simulated teaching is conducted in class during the first semester. Each student of a group is required to present two times of teaching demonstration with all his/her classmates as students (one for 5 minute, the other for 15 minutes). At the end of the semester, each group should present a teaching demonstration for a complete elementary school English course period for 40 minutes. The simulated teaching is followed by comments and suggestions by his/her own group members, other groups, and then by the instructor with an aim to improve students teaching techniques and to ensure full integration of the various activities conducted in the English class. 上課方式:reading, discussion, lecture, film or video, presentation, cooperative learning 考試及成績計算方式:(教師會依實際情況略做調整): - participation (presence + discussion + e-learning) (10%)- 5-minute teaching presentation (5%) - midterm exam (essay questions (10%), 15-minute presentation (10%) - final exam (essay questions (10%), 40-minute cooperative teaching presentation (15%) - reflection report on class observation in the arranged elementary school (10%)- reflection report on class observation on the video (10%) - textbook or teaching material evaluation project (10%)- Cooperative learning log (portfolio)(10%) Notes: (1) Late work: Homework or assignments are due at the beginning of class. Work turned in late will go down one grade per day (AA-, etc.) (2) Try to participate at least in ETA or other English Teaching Conferences held locally or nationwide if there are any available. You will get bonus points. (3) Each group must keep a log of your cooperative learning or teaching practice experience.
