启东折桂中学初二备课组8A Unit 3 A day outPeriod One Comic strip and Welcome to the unit (教案)Teaching aims: Knowledge:1.Revise and learn something about the worlds places of interest;2.Learn and use correct phrases to talk about the means of transportations. Abilities:To enable the students to know famous cities abroad and interesting places in Beijing; Emotions:To cultivate the students to love the nature and their motherland by learning and remember some famous places of interest abroad, especially in Beijing.Key points and difficulties of teaching:1.Learn and identify the places of interest at home and abroad, especially in Beijing;2.Learn how to discuss which foreign countries they would like to go.3.Enjoy ourselvesthe reflexive pronouns.Teaching preparation:Teaching pictures; a recorder; some postcards and a map of the worldTeaching procedures:一、 预习作业和预习交流1英汉互译(小组讨论核对重要词组,教师提示重点词组注意点,组员读背。)1. 需要做某事_6. the Opera House_2. 保持健康_7. the White House_3. 乘船旅行_8. the Eiffel Tower_4. 过得愉快_9.the Harbour Bridge_5. 保重_10.the River Seine_2用所给单词的适当形式填空。(小组核对答案,集体校对,质疑交流。)1.We _(climb) the hill tomorrow morning, arent we?2.You dont need _(finish) the work now.3.You must look after yourself and keep _( health).4.He enjoys _( play) football after school.5.Im sorry to keep you _( wait) so long.3个人展示图片景点。(课前可要求学生从网上或挂历上寻找图片并带来)二、交流展示和点拨提高Step one Warming-up: Get the students to share their travelling experiences with the class, by presenting famous places of interest theyve ever visited, and ask them to tell what they think of these places. Step two Presentation:A: To introduce the Comic strip by the question If you are free, what are you going to do? Listen for the specific information What do you think Eddie is going to do?B: Go through the pictures and the conversation between Eddie and Hobo. Ask: Is Eddie really going to climb the hill? What is he going to do? C: Read the conversation aloud after the recorder. D: Act it out: Get some pairs of students to read it out first, then act it out in roles before the class. (教学方式:师生互动,学生为主,说话朗读表演)Step three Language points1) keep fit,保持健康这里keep为联系动词,意为“保持”,其后+形容词eg. keep healthy (健康), keep warm (暖和), keep slim(苗条),keep还有另外表达:keep doing something, 不断地做某事 keep sb doing sth 让某人一直做某事 keep + object + adjective 使 eg . May keeps _( practise) singing, she will sing a song for us at the class meeting. . He kept me _(wait) for half an hour. We keep our eyes _( close) while we are sleeping.2) need to exercise, 需要锻炼这里need为实意动词“需要”,其后接不定式,它的否定形式为:dont/doesnt need to do sth, 一般疑问形式为:Do/Does need to do sth,need 还可以为情态动词,其后接动词原形,它的否定形式为:neednt do sth如主语为物时,则表达为:sth needs doing or sth needs to be done.eg . The children enjoyed _ in the park last week.(教学方式:讲练结合)Step four Introduction: A: Present a map of the world and encourage the students to share the names of the foreign countries in English, such as the USA, England, Australia; France ect. B: Present some postcards or pictures with the drawing of the White House in the Washington D.C. the USA, the Eiffel Tower and the River Seine in Paris, France, the Opera House and the famous Harbour Bridge in Sydney, Australia. And help the students to learn something about the famous places of interest by asking: 1). Do you know the name of this famous building? 2). Do you know where it is (located)? C: Help the students to correctly pronounce the names of the countries and their famous buildings. D: Part A on page 39. Match the postcards with the correct pictures. Ask: Who sent the first / second postcard? Which city did he go? What did he see? etc. (教学方式:师生互动,学生为主,小组交流)Step five Pairwork:A: Create a situation for students first. Go through the postcards, and then listen for the specific information: 1). Which city does he want to visit? 2). Why does Simon want to go there? B: Get some pairs of students to read it out first, then act it out before the class.C: Production: Encourage the students to make up a conversation on a trip plan. For less able students, they can imitate Part B on page 39, replacing the underlined parts with the information in Part A.
