A Complaint against Soaring Housing Prices Good morning, honorable judges, Recently, due to the increasing number of population, China has become a country with a big problem of balancing the relationship between housing price and peoples demand for dwelling .The fact that housing prices is soaring everyday actually sparkles heated debates among both citizens and peasants. People multiply daily are complaining against the skyrocketing housing prices. Yesterday, I saw a TV program through Shenzhen channel concerning the soaring housing prices in our country. That program dispatched many journalists to have interviews with the public in which they are asked about whatre their opinions of the theme. Unexpectedly, most of the interviewees make complaints about the soaring housing price. They hold firmly to belief that such state of affairs is irrational and abnormal. The higher housing prices are, the less people who can afford it. Hence, this may conduce to exceedingly severe living problems. With no lodgings to live in, people begin to do something immoral, and more crimes will come forth, then, social instability ensue. Out of this point, some people may blame the government for not being able to command macroscopic regulation such as not cracking down on illegal purchasing approaches. While others hold the view that some special groups should take responsibility for the soaring housing prices problem. As some wealthy people or powerful personages are in pursuit of being wealthier by owing more houses through proper or improper ways, the housing prices are forced to be raised. Constant complaints against soaring housing prices will continue unless that tendency drops off. After stating this universal complaint against soaring housing prices, I would like to come up with my viewpoints. Personally, I deem that this problem is really a hot potato. It depends on the governmental control and personal morality. However, in order to stop the housing prices from going up, I stick to the idea that the central government should make some effective laws , levy more taxes on house property just as western countries do to restrict rich people to purchasing and selling their houses. With the mutual efforts made by people and the government, there is no denying that the complaint against soaring housing prices will disappear one day. Thank you for all your listening!2. Make the Internet Clean for YouthsGood morning, dear judges, As globalization has been a universally known concept, the Internet becomes one of the major mass media in peoples daily life. It has impacts on different kinds of people, let alone the youths. Youths are the main users of the Internet and they have less resistance to those ill temptations on the Internet. Hence, to make the Internet clean for youth is inevitable. Nowadays, a growing number of youths spend a large amount of time on the Internet, searching information or seeking for entertainments. The Internet will provide them with endless resources at any time, but much of the information isnt correct for it might not be sifted before it is uploaded on the Internet. Many false messages and harmful remarks, even some smutty pictures or videos exist on the Internet. We have to make the Internet clean for the youths. Otherwise, it will lead to negative influences on the youths. Many of the youths fail to discipline themselves before the bad temptations and go to the wrong way. Therefore, it is really in urgent demand for completing such an assignment. Nevertheless, by what measures can the Internet be made clean for youths? This question has been brought up few years ago and some relevant departments have been put forward. Now, let me account some of the useful methods which I agree with. First of all, relevant departments should issue definite decrees, ban some illegal websites and intercept all kinds of fraudulent advertisements. Calling on the youths to comply with the decrees is indispensable, either. Accordingly, the youths should abide by the network pact. They ought to prevent themselves from entering such illegal websites and must report those websites to authorities consciously. Only by doing these can we youths obtain clean Internet. In harmony with natureWhen life existed , the planet was a pretty good place for us to live in , where nature was so pure and we human beings were in harmony with nature.However , in todays modern society , as science and technology develops , everything has changed . The nature is no longer what it was thousands of years ago and our environment has now been severely contaminated . For instance , emissions from numerous cars and poisonous gas given off by factories have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe ; quite a lot of trees being cut down and wildlife being killed by human beings destroyed the ecological balance; a great deal of waste is being poured continuously into rivers by various sizes of plants and factories , which is the major cause of water pollution . All these phenomenon break the harmonious relationship between human and nature . As a consequence , the nature is seeking its revenge and we are the ultimate victims . And in recent years , a large number of earthquakes took place all over the world , which were rather devastating . In addition , diverse diseases emerged and became more common among people , which made people at a greater risk of poor health . All the disasters made our planet unpleasant for us to live in .While the tragedy is mostly due to the behaviors of our human beings . So in order to prevent the situation worsening , we should take actions to be harmonious with nature . Furthermore , we should bear in mind that there is only one planet to live in . Thus , people throughout the globe should spare no efforts to protect our environment . Only by living in harmony with nature can we lead a better life .4. The Online Medias Social ResponsibilityNowadays , people are inclined to get more exposure to online media to gain information , obtain entertainment ,accomplish work or study task and so on .But is it wise to get close to online media without any restriction?A recent study by Patti Valkenburg , a professor at the university of Amsterdams Center for research on children , adolescents and the media , found that the online media had a negative effect on a childs self-esteem , and perception on friendship ,self-identity ,and respect for others.Obviously , the online media has a great influence on who we are and what we do. Therefore , the online media should shoulder great social responsibility . Firstly , the online media should provide the information that is legal ,correct instead of some words that twist the truth or rummours that defame others .Secondly , it shouldnt advocate some faulse theories , propagate the ideas that are anti-government or spread superstition and so on . Thirdly , it ought to make it a safer platform to exchange information or conduct trade business .Only by fulfilling the responsibility can the online media provide a clean and better stage for us , especially the young . Therefore , we can lead a normal life without having to worry about our identity stolen , our privacy being jeopardized , or our reputation being destroyed . 5. On Intellectual Property Protection Nowdays,intellectual property being infringed seems normal.The internet makes the infringement more convenient than before.We just click the website,everything will come on the screen.Besides coping on the Internet,there are lots of illegal publications,plays and CDs. Infringement,on one hand,discourage the holdersactiveness,on the other hand,it has great influences on the holders,and the publicators. According to the constitution,citizenss intellectual property is protected by the law.So once our intellectual property has ben infringed,we can report to the relevant departments and protect our lawful rights through legal means. At the same time,the relevant departments should take tough measures to prevent infringements from happening.Personally,we must resist buying illegal publications,plays,and CDs.Thus,we can truly protect citizens lawful rights,and make sure our intellectual property be protected. 6. My View on Overseas Trips The popularity of overseas trips is obviously increasing these days. Many factors lead to this. In my opinion, several among them are as follows: First of all, people are wealthier and living standards have largely been improved, so they have the extra energy and money to take overseas trips, to enjoy the services overseas and to taste all the luxury food overseas. Secondly, the desire to get to know the overseas people, their tradition, culture and living styles attracts us to overseas trips. When travelling abroad, people not only can enjoy the totally different scenery and climate, but also know much about the foreigners. In turn, foreigners get to know many things about us and our country. So, overseas trips strengthen the friendship between foreigners and travelers as well as the communication between the two countries.All in all, overseas trips have so many advantages that we should encourage more overseas trips.7. Are job opportunities lacked or not?Bistmark had said:”to youth, I have three words of counsel,work work and work.”I bet everyone feels how inspiring his words is,.but the situation we got is that thousands of graduates cant find a job.we may wonder. China is such a vast country with 9 hundred 60 spuare kilometers that job ,opportunities are everywhere.is it really so hard to find a job?at least, I dont think so.well, lets put it in this way, to magnify this issue to employment, we can make it clear.Firstly, china is a developing country whose industry structure is mainly composed of labor-intensive enterprises rather than white-collar workers,more labors rather than managers,more frontline workers rather than administrators.the current situation in costal cities like Shenzhen,dongguang is that factories cant even enroll enough workers to keep them running.they are in need of lobors.As regards to the new generation of us,we boast that we are college students who are armed eith knowledge who are nobler than common people.something weird drives us unwilling to dothe low level jobs .still much, we are unwilling to take entry level jobs.as is known ,china is a impatient nation,so are we young people.being lost in the ivory tower, we expect everyting to be perfect perfect job, perfect spouse , perfect future. That is definitely impossible.All in all what lacks is not job opportunities but the right attitude towards jobs.only if we the situation clearly can we find a proper job. 8.Personal charms comes from inner beauty not dressing upPersonal charms comes from inner beauty not dressing up. Do you know princess Diana? She is a gorgeous, charming, amazing woman, right? Even so , she didnt live a happy life with prince charles. you know what? Diana was born in a noble family. she got married when she was still 19 and didnt receive any formal education. So ,how such a woman share much interest with prince charles? Absolutely not! consequently each of them had affairs with others which is within my expectation. the lesson we learn from princess Diana is that dressing up well to look charming is faraway from enough. external beauty would disappear one day like flowers would fade away when autumn comes.ladies and gentlemen ,if you wanna be attractive even when you are old, cultivating your inner beauty from now on. as Francis Bacon said” if it be true that the principal part of beauty is in decent motion, certainly it is no marvel ,though persons in years seem many times more amiable.” certainly, brilliant virtue shines forever.Well, I didnt mean to deny dressing up well. we should not pay much attention to it. dressing up properly in proper situations is fairly enough.Nowadays, many young people are crazy about cosmetic surgery, doubling eyelid, humping nose, and removing fat. to be honest, thats kind of ridiculous. to these unsure people, Id like to quote some lyrics from lady gaga: no matter black or white or beige chola or orient made. you are on the right track. Baby, you are born this way .be yourself and let it shine. personal charm is out there and can be reached by you.9. A Teacher-centered Class or a Student-Centered ClassAs a part -time teacher in a training school, a dilemma always confused me: Whether my class should be teacher-centered or student-centered? However, it wasnt until one of my students talked frankly to me that I decided my class should be student-centered, otherwise my students would lose interests in it.In the training school, I teach a class of grade 6. In order to get a high score in the middle school entrance exam, we are under great pressure. At the first month, I taught them in a teacher-centered way in which I had been taught. And I was confident it would work so that they could get high scores, assuming that I should be popular with them. However, to my disappointment, one day one student stood up during the class, shouting “So boring! We dont like the way: no game, no fun!” It shocked me. I suddenly realized what a failure I was and its time to change.So I organize my class in the student-centered way;Instead of being a controller of my class, I choose to a guider to help my students study:Instead of the traditional way, I plan my class in an interactive way:Instead of pouring only the knowledge, I let my students involved in more activities:Instead of being a preacher, I am happier to be their friend, their” Big Sister”Instead of criticizing them, I encourage them more.Now the situation is completely changed. My students like not only my class but also me. They learn fast and efficiently. “Actions speak louder than words.” As things turn out, I prefer a student-centered class to a teacher-centered one, which is the same with the students. The age is different, so we should keep pace with it. 10. On Overseas StudyAn “overseas study boom” has emergered recently as RMB has appreciated. During last winter holiday, overseas study was the hottest topic for me because three of my friends would study abroad: one went to Italy, one to Spain and another to England. I envied them dramatically for its my dream to study abroad. Therefore, I am for overseas study if financially permitting. The reasons are as follows:First of all, we can further education under better educational systems, which are different from ours. On condition that our goal is to study, not to play, we are doomed to learning something new that will benefit us. In the second place, overseas study enables us to experience something different to expand our horizons. Especially for the students, like me, the foreign language learners, its necessary to study abroad. After all, the best way to learn well is to expose ourselves to the environment where the language is spoken. On one hand, we can approach their culture so that it is easier for us to understand it. On the other hand, we can put what we have learned into practice through communications. Thirdly, overseas study means more opportunities for the job hunting in the future for us. We are likely to have some advantages over those who havent go abroad. Finally, it also makes us know better about our own country and its culture.Of course, like everything, overseas study if financially permitting still has some disadvantages that need us to overcome, such as, the culture shock, loneliness, and so on. But once we adapt ourselves to it , everything can go on smoothly .11.Reading Selectively or Extensively? Once famous English philosopher Francis Bacon said, Reading makes a full man, which means that anyone who wants to be a full man must keep on reading. But books are of various kinds and different contents. Then how to read? Some people say that we should read selectively. They believe that it is not how much one reads but what he reads that really counts. Since we have no enough time to read all kinds of books, we should read selectively to achieve a high efficiency, reading only those that are useful to our majors and future works. Only by this way can we make full use of our time to gain more practical knowledge. However, others claim that reading extensively is a better choice.In their opinions, different books are of different uses. Just like Bacon mentioned, Histories make men wise；poets witty；the mathematics subtle; natural philosophy deep; moral grave; logic and rhetoric able to content. Therefore, reading widely is necessary for a full man. In my viewpoint, we should read both selectively and extensively. The two reading ways have their respective roles in our reading. We can read selectively for specialized knowledge, or read widely for general information.Therefore,the combination of the two methods is more reasonable.12. On Trying to Renew Knowledge It is generally known that todays society is the age of knowledge and economy, in which new knowledge emerges much faster than ever before. Moreover, knowledge plays an important part in the whole economy. Therefore, everyone finds it necessary to renew his or her knowledge; otherwise he (or she) will be left behind.(As knowledge is increasingly important for an individuals development, there is no denying the fact people who are close to modern technology and science should try to renew knowledge.)In my opinion, there are some ways to update knowledge in order to keep ourselves informed of modern science and technology.
